Do blizzard ever intend for any of the games they have to ever go deeply into graphics again because I really enjoy the world of classic but what I would love to have seen was the art in which is in vanilla splash screens and the old “WOW Manual” That you got with the first purchases. I would love to see a super high graphics world with no change to the game play the game has age old beauty but if they went all out with graphic updates attempting to reach the same style as the splash screens oh my oh my I think it would look so beautiful.
Am I really the only one that hopes blizzard one day revisit graphics? Opinions?

I would have liked the option for modern graphics but the hurr durr no change (aka never played vanilla) squad would have never allowed it, even if it was an option.
I would love to see Classic with Retail’s level of graphics. I don’t like playing Retail but it does look amazing.
For me Classic wasn’t about how many polygons my character had, or the now very out of date textures. It was about the content itself. Classic getting a facelift won’t ruin the experience for me. I’ll still die just as much from respawns whether my hair looks terrible or not.

I think there already are some graphical upgrades, for example i don’t remember sunshafts in vanilla. However i don’t know how much they’re willing to up the system requirements.

Fantasy / RPG games are extremely reliant on creating a specific aesthetic / world in my opinion. With WoW having deep roots in the Warcraft series, it’s become a very distinct universe. Most aesthetic changes to me fundamentally break the universe, like different character animations, as well as the modern zone design being oversaturated. One of the main reasons BFA to me doesn’t feel at all like WoW, and classic brought back the (World of) Warcraft experience for me.
People wanting graphics updates in whatever way I assume have no feet in the greater Warcraft lore / universe and are just looking for a random game.
I will start to say that I don’t want Classic to be retail and I don’t want LFG or LFR, I want the game to be tough as nails and as punishing as possible to incentivize social interaction and grouping.
I would love to see some updates to Classic, achievements is a fun mechanic for example, do you think it would impact the community in the wrong way?
I’m also of the opinion that a graphics toggle would be the best course of action, as long as it doesn’t impact other players, updated models toggle for example, it would not impact anyone who doesn’t want to opt in.
