I’m personally doing the event and having fun , when I stopped doing the event , i managed to go away from Orgrimmar very easily without any problem. And that is on Draenor Horde which is the biggest server.
It is great you have fun. I also do not want to take away your fun. But different people different likes. The WM opt-in would have been perfect.
Reason why it’s time limited.
Well if it is there for a week, then sort out the mess of people being infected when they have no intention of taking part in it.
It’s a simple solution.
It’s a week , if you cant deal with a little bit of hindrance perhaps this isnt the right type of game , its multiplayer. Blizzard decided that it was for both WM on and off.
And that makes it acceptable? I don’t think so.

That’s not how it works. Perhabs you should play other games if you dislike the story and gameplay elements that come with it in an MMO. Everyone is in the same story. You can however ignore it for the most part if you so wish.

You pay for acces to the game, nothing more nothing less. The world doesn’t revolve around you.
I will answer that next time you complain you have to pve as a pvp-player.

The event was a disaster pre Wrath, it is a disaster now, i’m glad you find it fun, I don’t, but do not for one second tell me what type of game I like!

a Blizzard suppt member said it himself on the US forums if I remember correctly , you pay for access to the servers and the game , the way the story goes (in this case the prepatch event) you have no choice over.
Nonetheless you have the option to not play the game for that week
That is an answer to every complain we have about the game. That does not make everything acceptable what happens sometimes.
