Greed is unattractive

They are more capable of working from home then most others. They have the resources, and their main line of work is through computers/internet/technology.

Cant ever be compared to per example a construction company, a oil rig, a hospital, a shop , a school , well pretty much most of what keeps a society running.

Either way, a period like this is likely to generate more subscribers, how much more i dont know, but it wouldnt surprise me if it was alot more.

People have been subscribing to blizzard regardless of the games many ups and many many downs, people have been frustrated with alot of thing but they have stayed loyoal, and blizzard have made billions of billions from it.

Who said they were? Only thing i said was that it would have been a nice gesture.

They wouldnt cease to exist if they helped a few people out in a limited period of time. As i stated i believe they would be getting more subs in the future for something like that.

Alot of people have ubsubbed because they dislike the actions of blizzard. Now they are exploiting the corona virus to get more subs. And yeah i dislike it to the point im considering unsubbing permanently. No whining, just unsubbing and ill never play this game or speak on this forums again. And im not alone.

Dont lecture me about real life bro. In my line of profession i see the dark side of life every single day.

You play the hard guy, doesnt really fit you. Helping out some poor people is a OK thing to do, thats what i stated, nothing else. I dont need free subs. I can pay for my subs and these days and in the future ill be making more money then usual because of hel l of a lot of overtime.

A little thoughts for others never hurt anyone. Not even hard badboyz like yourself.

Canā€™t believe I am on your side on this, butā€¦ I looked up the definition for it. Basically it said ā€œIntense and selfish need for somethingā€.

As far as I can tell, there isnā€™t anything selfish here. Unless you count ā€œFree 30 days for playersā€ selfish.

Maybe so, but Iā€™m pretty sure that they wonā€™t want to work from home unless Blizzard paid them extra for using their own electricity and equipment, or maybe Blizzard bought new PCā€™s for them to install at home for them to use, I donā€™t know but Iā€™m willing to put money on the fact that Blizzard have been hit with some increased expenditure to cover the working from home.

If your boss asked you to something away from the workplace but you would have to buy and run the extra equipment to do it from your own funds, would you ?

I donā€™t disagree with offering to help where possible, but Blizzard isnā€™t a person, itā€™s a business entity with no morals, scruples, emotions or any other human attributes so expecting them to act like one is unrealistic.

Blizzard is one example of a company that to a large decree can do the same work from home. And im pretty sure they can arrange for more suitable office-conditions on work aswell, they have huge resources.

Not everyone CAN do their work from home, the list is long so im not gonna mention them as it sais itself.

My work is not behind a computer, and its impossible to do from home.

I dont think any of this is a problem for Blizzard. For a small company with 4-5 employes, sure, another story, but blizz? ofc not. Im sure they have alot of alternatives for this already long before the outbreak of this virus.

Its run by humans, with all those morals and emotions, a business isnt a life on its own, its always driven by people. These days we see big business owners doing different things, we see those who exploit the situation to make more money, we see those who try to ease the burden on its customers, and we see alot in between those two.

Thank you for that illuminating bit of info Captain Obvious, however it bears no relation to what you quoted

I asked a question and like a good politician you failed to answer it, instead you answered a totally different question.

As for lecturing you on life, it seems you have a very feeble grasp of reality. It doesnā€™t matter whether a company employs 2 or 200 thousand people they are both going to feel a negative impact from the current situation. Iā€™m also pretty sure that No one, including Blizzard could have anticipated this situation.

Iā€™m not your ā€˜broā€™, using that expression makes you sound like some mentally challenged teen and if pointing out a few facts about life is construed as being the ā€˜hard manā€™ then being in denial of those facts must be the realm of the dumb guy.

Pointless carrying on this debate seeing as you appear to be reading something different to what Iā€™m writing.

its about customer retention.

keeping poor people subbed during tough times has nothing political in it, its about business model. Blizz isnt gvrmnt.

Thats true.

that creeps me out

Well itā€™s a good time to quit Wow then!
If I had any problems with money, that would be among the first expenses Iā€™d cut without even thinking about it. Thereā€™s still plenty to do with games or other things.

I weally want bwoost!

Yes its only 10 yoyos so stingy blizz can afford that. In the end it will only matter to some incredibly rich dickhead so yes im all for some rich dickhead not getting his money to horde it some account while others around the world struggle.

I say kill the rich and eat them.

Welp, we keep getting told that other people shouldnā€™t get triggered, because itā€™s all just banterā€¦
