I’ve noticed this a few times in that Grounding Totem will absorb a damage spell and the totem won’t be destroyed - seen this happen against Fireblast and Death Coil quite often.
Also it will often ground multiple spells if cast in quick succession.
Can you fix this absolute broken ability I mean we are only in P6.
i played shaman all my wow-life and i have never seen the grounding totem absorb more than 1 spell unless it was a non-damaging spell.
grounding totem ticks (gives you a new buff in case of non-dmg spell absorb) every 5 seconds and it has a 15 second cooldown, lasts for 1 minute.
this means that if a shaman sees you coming and you’re taking your sweet time getting to him he can put down a grounding totem in advance, then pop a new one immediately after the first one gets destroyed, maybe this is what you have seen.
if you’re throwing a frost/fire bolt and then a fire blast in quick succession it will absorb two spells only because the first one has travel time while the other is instant hit… that’s a you-issue more than a totem-is-bug-issue.
a grounding totem will “absorb” ALL projectile spells that are cast while the shaman has the buff. Only when another spell removes the buff or destroys the totem will subsequently cast spells go towards the shaman.
That means that if 3 mages pom pyro at the same time they all get their pyro absorbed by grounding. it’s not a bug, it’s working as intended.
