I doubt we’ll see trade channel being spammed with Mages selling portals.

In fact, I am willing to bet that we won’t see that.

pretty sure no mage is going to sell portal, except poor ones who care about 100g or w/e :joy:

It’s not like there won’t be any portals. Before legion nobody bought portals, there were enough ways to teleport in-game.
Also remember that the main reason a portal had a fee was because of the material cost. Now you can spam portals all over the place.

Got 1337g for making a free portal once. The person was so happy that I did it for free that he sent me a mail with gold. Sometimes theres still hope for the community! (Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about a certain merged company)

I didn’t even charge when we needed reagents to open them, never mind now.

The only people selling trade portals, are either new or love wasting their own time.

Only lazy people will buy portals from mages. There are still loads of ways to get around Azeroth with the removals of portals.
People got around before all the portals were added, & people will continue to get around with their removal.

Mages won’t be able to sell anything more than Dalaran crater and Shrine of the two moons, since all the other portals mages can make will be available in SW.
Everyone will be stacked in SW with major lag, but according to Blizzard this will make the game more interesting for us. We don’t argue with Blizzard, they are right, we are wrong.

I can make portal or two on my mage, but when i stand in orgrimmar and i’ve got like 15 new whisper tabs with “portal pls” i’m just ignoring.

Well, since there still will be portals in Org/SW, where do you want to buy a portal to? Pretty sure you can get anywhere still within 2-5 minutes basically. Takes longer to find a willing mage to make you a portal ^^.

I’ve never sold a portal and I never will. It’s a spell that takes a few seconds to cast. Why would I charge for that?

The problem with that, is that they’re not automatically unlocked for DI. You have to go out into the open world and find the mole machines in that zone to activate them.

as someone with a mage alt i always got really really annoyed with the amount of people whispering me and asking for a portal or food, i am sure more people get annoyed by this and not all mages like to sell portals for a few gold.

You might actually want to take part in the discussion about the removal of portals. It is much better to have it all in one place.

I never minded it as long as I had nothing to do. But I can’t even count the amount of players who got mad because I was in a group/raid/queue which I did not want to waste for a convenient portal, that bothered me far more ^^.

Esp during the “prime times” it was often quite busy in my whisper box. That was sometimes quite annoying yes.

Mages don’t actually need to buy the portals for transporting other players. We obviously use our teleport. So when folk say portals don’t cost mages anything just add up how much they all actually cost. I often don’t bother buying them… cus in truth I never get asked. So for that once in a million chance of someone actually needing one is it worth all that gold. Nah.
