For some reason it seems that it will not be solved. The problem is ours, isn’t it?

Is the Guild Bank even Safe to use??? I have people scared to take or Put stuff in Guild Bank as it was wiped by 90% from the Bug is it fixed or is the Guild Bank still likely to just vanish overnight again??? We need to know as right now the Guild Bank is itself seen as unsafe and not usable in any form.
And will we ever get any recovery of missing items some hard to get items or rare, Also so many Professional mats well into 1000’s in Gold’s worth vanished when we will see them back or some sort of compensation for the loss as many hours of crafting and gathering has gone up in smoke…

If they carry on like this - then maybe it will soon become their problem. As I’ve said elsewhere in this thread I’ve not bought the Diablo IV expansion (and won’t until this is fixed - or not at all). Once my 12 month sub is done I won’t be resubbing; and they’ve already lost my other 2 of my 3 accounts from their monthly sub. So as of now they’re burning through what I’ve already given them, with no probability of seeing any more revenue from me at all.

Let’s imagine a situation. You come to the Bank to put some valuable things. They tell you, ok, you can do it, but we don’t give any guarantees. And also, half of our clients were robbed a little recently. Think for yourself, do you need it, or would it be better to put your things under the bed?

Hey,
in our French forum, Yryadorne, customer support, afirms that we are going to have some news soon

I quote his answer in French if you want to translate

That’s not how the game works, even though it might seem logical from the outside. That said, we don’t have any new information at the moment, however there should be some very soon.

While it is true that we aim at updating you all as soon as we have further details, I have to clarify that this “soon” is not to be taken as an indication of expectations.

As of this message, we do NOT have any information to share on any sort of timeframe for further communications, nor about details on progress for the resolution of this issue :frowning:

I can only confirm that the team is doing everything they can to finalize work on this problem as quickly as possible; your feedback and your frustration is not ignored… it just takes time to sort this out completely.

From our side, we’ll do our best to update you with any progress as soon as we can, but for now once again I can only ask you to be patient.

I realise your hands may be tied a little bit as far as predicting the future may be concerned, but is it not possible to at least give us some answers about the here and now?

You must understand, I’m sure, our frustration - not necessarily about how “soon” we can expect a fix, but also about IF there is going to be a fix. A lot of us “long-timers” have unfortunately experienced a few of these promises in the past where things are a “priority”, but then slowly the replies become fewer, until eventually we have no feedback at all … and then we’re just left in limbo forever.

Personally … if this cannot be fixed … if those items are lost … then I’d rather know outright. It would save me, you, and everyone else here, one heck of a lot of time and effort

I don’t know why Blizzard in the past have rather just said nothing, than ripping that bandaid off, being honest and saying “really sorry guys, but we can’t fix it … we tried our best, but it wasn’t possible … but we have solved the issue so it shouldn’t happen again/can’t go any further with this”.

Sure … some people will be annoyed … but most of us would understand. Sometimes you just can’t fix stuff. People are already annoyed, so it wouldn’t make much difference :stuck_out_tongue: (although recompense would be nice, especially for those who lost a LOT).

There was a reply in the US forum from someone relating to a ticket they’d had answered:

This is the link:

So it seems there are some mixed messages going around.

To be honest, there are more Blizzard responses in this thread than I’ve seen in any one thread for a long time, the latest being less than a day ago. However GMs and Blizzard posters aren’t the people trying to fix the problem so all they can do is pass on the information the devs/QA are telling them.

Unfortunately at this point in time we have not been informed of any detail surrounding plans and “how 's” regarding restorations. We just know that people are still at work on this situation, but sadly nothing that can serve as a proper answer to your questions :frowning:

Just to be clear: this is not because there are no plans at all, it’s just that any related information has not been shared with us so far… reason why we can not really comment on anything related to this topic.

The only part we have been informed on with clarity is regarding the bug that lead to the disappearance of items in the first place.

Said bug has been located and fixed some time ago (a couple of weeks ago if memory serves, I can’t double check right now, apologies  ), which basically means that guild banks are safe to be used again since then. Using guild banks should also have no impact on any future plan to complete the resolution of the situation as a whole.

That’s correct, in cases such as this one we can pretty much only act as a communication “link” between players and the teams involved in investigating and fixing the problem.

Rest assured that we’ll keep doing our best to get you any relevant information as soon as we get them

I’m glad that guilds are usable now, but I need the items that disappeared from the guild, to sell them or move them to new guilds. The question is: how long does it take to recover the items? Because if it’s a year I think I’ll take a break from WoW…

Completely understandable. Thank you.

That is brilliant, and honestly, one of my main concerns. Thank you.

*Edit … hmm … weird … I STILL haven’t gotten to grips with “quoting” posts here lol. No idea why one is quoted in your blue, and the other isn’t :stuck_out_tongue:

*Edit2 - I’d also like to say, specifically to Felranys here, that I do appreciate the time you’ve taken to come and talk to us here about this and keep us updated. I feel really bad for the guys on the US forums who are, some of them, virtually going out of their minds, because no blue has taken the time to interact with them at all. It’s quite refreshing to have the EU staff take the lead for once

I agree entirely with this sentiment -it is the weekend after all (although it is possible you guys have shifts that cover weekends).

Thanks Felranys again, as I’m sure I’ve said it directly before much earlier in the thread.

So, may i be bold for asking Felranys, and i will not be touching the guild bank of this char that has gone all but one tab, that all the other guild banks are now safe and i can use them?

Thanks for all the great new, even if you can’t tell us everyting

Hello, does this mean you can use the affected guild slots until a solution is found?

That’s what we have been told:
