Guild Bank items gone

You’d think they had nothing better to do! New season, soon the Anniversary, and here we are pestering them with our banks!

Someone on the US forums made a good point … that none of the RWF guilds are talking about this - not that has been flagged, anyway. I mean, I’m assuming they’re using their vaults a lot currently - so are they just not affected, or did they have empty vaults anyway, prior to the new expansion?

Or do they have a “direct line” and did their own “deal” with Blizzard?

Probably, they have had different treatment in the past.
Not saying there IS a cover-up but Blizzard is known for treating certain customers different.

Just the whole dead server thing. We were annoyed by it, vented our displeasure and even then we got spit in the face with many free transfers for the classic crowd and no communication or solutions. Or how we usually get worse support, communication than the US players.

Maybe the money goblins are cranky that in the EU they can’t just do whatever they want. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Thanks to Felranys, we had better communication but that is not okay either, they should have that kind of communication on the US forums as well. Let’s hope he hasn’t been told off by now.

And yeah, I do know some people and even Blizzard think: no communication is better than telling us: “No news, they’re still working on it.” But how possitive have most of us been about Felranys doing that? Exactly… we do value that more than silence.

Not that everything is great with Zenimax (Elder Scrolls Online) but I had less feelings of a second rate customer as I do with Blizzard.

Honestly, that’s something I’m a little concerned about now. I’d have expected us to have had another “update” by now, but it’s been radio silence and I’m concerned they’ve been disciplined for it …

Yup, I started thinking about that yesterday. Not that I demand him to post every few days.
Just the though of: I do hope he doesn’t get disciplined or told to stop. As its better than what the corporate guidebook allows them to.

I appreciate the concern, really :blue_heart:

The “radio silence” right now however is only because we still don’t have meaningful updates to share :frowning:

I can only reassure you all that this has not been forgotten.

I am sure there is a “direct” line of some sorts, influencers do get in each Alpha & Beta, are invited to official events, are interviewed and always have the newest information. That won´t be possible without any sorts of contact to people that matter and work for Blizzard.

As for why they are not effected, conspiracy theory tells me they have their own database and were not affected, just like with the priority log in queue myth that exists. A more realistic approach however is that they do not use their guild banks much.

These gamers are getting so much for free from “fans” and do have most of what was valuable to them unlocked, that they just don´t care enough about a 500 k of gold that they may have lost.

Those of us that used the guild banks, did so for trading and storing valuable things, hoarding stuff for alts like transmogs and the like. Which streamer does care about transmogs and alts?

Their main interest is mythic and for that you don´t need a guild bank.

do you have any non-meaningful updates? :stuck_out_tongue:

Could we get any information on these questions?

Also … why is the support article that was up, no longer available?

Google remembers:

We have received several reports of this issue and can confirm it is not working as intended. Currently, we do not have a workaround or resolution that can be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience while our developers work as quickly as possible to resolve the issue. 25 Aug 2024

Better ask yourself why no news sites are writing about this. Content creators aren’t mentioning it either, probably in fear of getting cut off.

that’s not good.

Thanks for getting back to us, Felranys!

Currently we only use one of our seven tabs, since that was the only one where nothing disappeared from.
Could we maybe get a 100% definitive “you can use all of your guildbank again, there won’t be an issue with the returning items”?
Or is that a pipe-dream? Both the definitive reply and the fix for it?
It’s a new expansion. We’d like to be able to use the guild bank in our guild.

Please respond.

Am I the only one still not using it at all? When I start taking stuff out, the data will get all messed up I assume. Tbh I am getting really fed up with this, it has been weeks. This game… losing items in gb, losing items in warbank, losing honor levels, losing items in the ah…

No you’re not the only one not using your guild bank at all.

Had I not bought a 12 month sub a couple of months before the expac dropped (I usually do so) in good faith thinking that I would be playing for that time I would have unsubbed by now due to this issue.

This has cost them me not buying the Diablo IV expansion, and if not resolved entirely to my satisfaction (which means a complete restore of all items that were present to a point in time approximately 10-13th August, or sufficiently close that it aligns with my memory of what I had in my guild banks) will mean I simply won’t be giving Blizzard anymore of my money.

The responses in the survey I was sent on Wednesday evening did not look favourably on this particular issue.

I cannot emphasise how much this has destroyed my confidence and trust in Blizzard as of the past 3 weeks, to the point that I wish one of those “Did you buy a diesel VW/BMW/Audi car between 2005-2015” or “Did you buy a car on finance with Santader” type class action suites you see all of Twitter/X is well overdue for this particular issue.

I’ve told my guild the guild bank is a potential black hole and to avoid using it. We only have a few green profession items in there when normally it would be filling up with potions, flasks, enchants, gems, food, etc. There’s just no way are we taking the risk when it could all be gone at any point. Similar to previous posters, this has really made me lose any confidence I had in Blizzard, on top of the reputation reset issues, which also haven’t been fixed in over a month.

So I’ve been looking at that support article that’s also gone missing … ironically!!

Weirdly, there are still links to that page in several areas. If you go to the support pages and search for guild vault missing items, it provides the link to the empty page.

It is also mentioned on the TWW Common Issues article:

https://eu.battle.net/support/en/help/article/000358474

Although the link again only goes to the empty page.

Either they’re trying to clear reference to it and forgot to remove the links to it, or the support page (on both EU and US) got accidentally wiped. Perhaps they’ll find that in the same place as our guild vault contents …

Edit … I’ve raised an issue about it:

What has me worried is that guild banking hasn’t at least voluntarily been disabled for players who suspect they’ve been on the receiving end of this bug. It is fair to assume that continuing using the service adds even more weight to the main problem, possibly even overwrites some of the data.

That’s not the only concern. When it comes to restoration, if we ever reach that step, there’s still a big chance some players will end up losing their inventory and a possibility that others will receive more stuff than intended.

Is Blizzard willing to take the risk at potentially ruining the entire economy by applying a blanket fix-all type of automated solution? I really don’t think there’s the willpower or available manpower to manually review each individual case.

There are many similar swirly graphic effects all thorough the game which are just as annoying and even larger in radius. In some previous expansions these were primarily ice field effects with a big radius but in this expansion and primarily in Delves there are many similar gray web ground effects, even bronze/brown swirlies caused by the destruction of spider eggs.

Most of these ground effects are something which doesn’t cause damage the character or cause them to suffer in any way if they chose to continue standing on top of them.

Dropping from stable 100+ down to 5 fps because of something like this isn’t fun or enjoyable.

Finally found the EU thread on this, it seems hard to find good info on this issue.

I just want to add that my guild has also been affected by the issue since pre patch and I would really like news on when this will be fixed.

Thankyou
