Such a huge data loss. Are our characters safe? They don’t feel safe anymore. I didn’t lose nearly as much as some but i did lose a whole lot of confidence in you.
Is it even worth it mentioning what kinds of losses and where occurred?
Still 0 replies in all 3 cases that I am aware of. Although I can 100% tell only about mine, + a few tabs where the logs are fresh.
Nice to have an update but it would be way nicer if stuff actually reappeared back in the Guildbank!!
Today, 8 days after this update, I still have 4 out of 7 tabs completley empty and the other 3 are missing stuff as well.
No missing items have been mailed back to me, so much for helping long time players who have been farming and grinding through the years.
If Blizzard would be an actual bank millions of people would be screwed…
Well just logged on this char, the “lucky one” that has the GB 6 of 7 tabs gone… and no mail, no nothing… I just got the D4 mail to buy the expansion and not not even thinking of it…
Does blizzard not notice that this are more then a “few” item… there are way more then just stuf…
But may be jus me that has memorys of past ones that are not among us anymore…
I think its important for everyone to realise that we as customers are no longer even talking to ‘Blizzard’ anymore. It is my understanding that Blizzard outsourced the whole ‘ticket’ system to a third party some time ago. So sending a ‘ticket’ and then expecting any meaningful response via a ‘blue post’ is pointless, simply because the ‘blizz devs’ do not even communicate back to the blue post responders, and blue post responders have shown in this thread alone that they have no idea what has happened either. In fact that aspect of blue posts has now got even worse, I have seen several examples quoted in this thread in the last week which are patently AI generated nonsense.
Now Blizzard devs, may well say this is a priority, but unless and until a budget is allocated to sort it out and get these missing items back to guild banks, nothing will ever happen… and that is the situation today… well over 5 weeks from start of this mess. and our guild for example, had ALL 8 tabs emptied, many with stacks, thats literally thousands of items STOLEN. This i believe has happened to literally thousands of active guilds globally, and Blizz still try and pretend its ‘just a few items’ … Our guild has had 1 stack of leather returned for example and numerous replies state this process is now complete.
It’s all gone folks accept it, or do something meaningful and cancel YOUR subscription. If enough do that… bottom line may change, but not unless.
I got back from Blizz a 14-slots bag. Is that supposed to be the partial restoration? Why are we being treated like that? Have we not sustained everyone employed at Blizz through the monthly subscription?
I have waited patiently since they announced the upcoming restoration. Still no restoration mails, 2 guild banks still empty.
The GM of the social guild I am a member of received a stack of repair hammers. That guild lost the contents of 7 out of 8 tabs.
I am generally pessimistic. In this case, I have not yet decided that nothing more will be done about it but I do not expect it either so it’s a grey area. I will still play because I love this game more than I hate Blizzard but it definitely has affected how much I try to achieve anything in the game. I will also do the only other thing I can do, keep commenting once in a while. Pointless? Maybe. But it’s free.
I got a stack of cloth and some ores back…Im not impressed.
I have two other accounts linked to my Battlenet, that was to be resubbed during Prepatch, now they are just inactive due to this and I PRAY that the guildbanks on those are untouched.
Not certain tho, as I could transfer Timewarped badges from chars from those accounts.
I really dont have a desire to resub and find out, now Im atleast still clinging to some hope.
I recieved no answers from them about the mounts, thats now gone from my account or the AH listings that went missing during the first week of Official Launch.

Prepatch and Launch has cost me a lot of time, a lot of work and a lot of gold.

Perhaps add to their 1 star rating on Trust Pilot? (Search for "Blizzard Entertainment " or “Activision”).
What worries me most is that this is an indication of data corruption that (a) pre-dates The War Within (b) wasn’t discovered until someone bothered to investigate why there were suddenly multiple reports of Guild Banks being stripped and (c) this company is now owned by Microsoft, the company that runs (most of) your PCs and stores your data in the Cloud. This isn’t a “whoopsie”, this is a major breach of trust issue.
Is ANY of our data safe?
Microsoft is laying off another 400 people from Blizzard. Guess how that will help solve our problems.

In World of Warcraft, patch 11.0.2 was released on August 13, 2024. Along with it came a bug that caused items in Guild Banks to vanish. It took Blizzard over a month to communicate about the issue, and all they managed was an “incomplete restoration.” In my case, this meant the return of only about 1% of the lost items. Customer service has made it clear that there will be no compensation. I lost a decade’s worth of crafting materials that I had farmed, and all I got from Blizzard was a weak “sorry.”
If you plan on playing Blizzard games in the future, keep in mind that your data isn’t safe—you could lose everything at any time, with zero support from Blizzard!
I encourage everyone to keep making noise about this issue online. Arguing with Blizzard’s customer service and forum moderators is getting us nowhere, so we need to take our protests beyond Blizzard-controlled spaces like this forum until we receive proper and fair compensation for their mistake. Please keep it civil, though.

Received some items back in the mail today…195 sumptuous fur, 15 Burly Bear haunch, 17 Maybe Meat and 8 Aethereal Meat…WTF Blizzard!!! I had over 17 years of farming in that bank and these are the only things you could restore…what happend to al my inks, flowers, pets, cloths, ores, ect?
Think it’s time to unsub…
