Guild Hub/House

So a while ago I saw a post about player housing in which I participated and expressed my opinion about the subject, where I mentioned I don’t agree with player housing but I do like the idea of a guild house. Post bellow:

https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/can-someone-explain-the-apeal-of-player-housing-and-why-we-need-it

Anyway, with that in mind I was actually thinking about which features that guild hub could have, in order to justify it’s existence and be relevant through each expansion. I will list bellow some I thought about, would like to know your opinion on the subject and also suggestions.

Possible features:

Raid training - This could be achieved with an NPC who you’d talk to, choose 1 boss from a raid and port to a copy of the original instance where you and your party fight only that boss. You would not have loot, obvisouly, and gear would not need repairs. To unlock the bosses you would need a guild achievement where you killed that boss as a guild. The goal of this feature would be to train new players, or guild members, etc… And only anyone who has the achievement of killing said boss would be able to queue the party into the train mode.

Arena or fighting ring - Like the previous suggestion this would also be a training area but for PvP, a room where players can fight eachother to practice and improve their skills. Maybe with a NPC that gives PvP potions that only work in there and wear off once you exit? Exactly for training/experimenting purposes.

Guild bank access - This one is obvious.

Common room - Some kind of lounge/bar/inn where you can hang out and costumize, with guild banners and other stuff idk, maybe some vendors but nothing that would make people avoid going to cities for certain vendors.

Any more ideas?

Edit: Forgot about Guild Hearthstone, I think this one would also be a need.

I personally have no interest in guild housing and I think Blizzard are unlikely to force people to join guilds in order to get any form of player housing.

Player housing is your own customisable space. Guild housing isn’t. It’s either a huge mess because you have everyone able to do everything, or it’s the leaders choice.

Player housing would be totally optional and not impact the game or be compulsory in anyway. Neither can give you any perks otherwise it becomes mandatory again.

Never said you can’t have one if you have the other. We could have both.

I don’t think that would be a major issue. The same thing could be said about tabards for example. I think the costumization should be done by the guild leader, if he goes about it by personal preference or guild votes that’s up to him. Specially if the options are not extremelly different, shouldn’t be a big issue.

Our guild doesn’t raid or do such, so our guild house would have following:

  • Big room with fun furniture (that we all have gathered around the world) for just hanging out.
  • Professions stations for all guild crafters. They would work like this: guild members could “load” mats on different profession tables (think it as guild material bank but separated tables for different professions) and make “orders” what they need. Crafter who have that profession, recipe and high enough skill could stop by table to make the item and then item could be picked from “ready orders” stash.
  • Digital board games you can play.
  • Jukebox to play music from internet.
  • Robot vacuum cleaner (we are heroes we got no time for cleaning!).
  • On wall guild calendar and message board.
  • In door plants you need to water.
  • Beergarden with bbq.
  • Guild pets and guild stable for guild mounts.
  • Ever changing labyrinth with random rewards on the end for first you get’s there.
  • Guild bank.
  • Servant npcs (that work as vendors).
  • Tower with guild flag on the top.
  • Huge pictures on wall, images would be randomly picked from selfies guild members take.

Learn to post links as preformatted text, no one wants to play minigame “find all spaces here”.

On topic… guild housing would be cool feature, Blizzard can remodel personal garrisons cuz they are pretty big, and make them guild houses, expand a little maybe, there are guilds which consist of 600 players.

DC universe online had best solo/guild housing,I don’t know why blizz dont make it similar

I like those suggestions.

This reminded me, if we ever get a guild house it would be a good opportunity to remake the guild bank tabs. Nowadays their costs are easy to cover, as such the grind purpose they had is no longer relevant. So they could have some options similar to bags, assign a tab for a certain type of item, or stuff from a certain profession and it would automatically store there, idk. Not a huge remake, just some qol tweaks.

They could just make it so that your “weekly activity” gets you votes on what the next “project” is.

Are we making a 500ft statue of Dejarous the mighty striking a heroic pose or upgrading to straw mattresses for the members?

Agreed.
Op put ’ at the start and end of the sentence you wish to have in preformatted text or use the </> icon on top of the chat window while selected text is highlighted to make it preformatted text.

Which is why people so rarely wear them.

Really awesome suggestions, I especially love the PvP and Raid practise stuff. As a casual player who just started playing again since WoTLK, I really suck at the game and this would be so beneficial.

Any kind of reward system would penalise those not in guilds, Blizz have moved away from that which is why most guild perks were broken. I also think they should have nothing that would take you away from a capital from professions to bank access.

This goes back to my everything looks a mess because everyone has input issue. Just let us have player housing and then it’s optional for those who want it.

Fine, let’s say it does become an issue because people are being too petty about what the guild leader wants or not and we don’t have customization. It’s not really necessary tbh, only an extra. The guild house’s main focus should be the social aspect and funcionality. So I don’t see the customization being necessary, it’s just something I guess many people would be vocal about having.

If even Blizzard will do something like this there will be in my guild:

  1. Main room full of alpacas plushies, soft pillows to sit around fireplace and big fluffy carpet on middle.
  2. On left side will be kitchen with books for every expansion ingredients, there also will be me and Nomi cooking some coal cake.
  3. On right we will have training room full of boss trophies, training dummies where most of time our raid leader will sit and complain about or mistakes in last raid day.
  4. I also want get stable full of alpacas mounts and pets.
  5. On first floor I want see Storage room(guild bank) and doors(portal) to our private houses/rooms.

I like the trophies part yeah, didn’t think about that one, would be a nice touch to show the raids completed by the guild.

Cursed irl images me and the gang took is all that will ever decorate that wall.
