I am looking to create a macro to politely invite people to my guild. Here is what I have already written but it does not seem to work.
/w %t Hey! a leveling guild is now recruiting. Please do join, and bring your friends along too!
/ginvite
Please assist.
Dont… just… dont…
Honestly, every guild that sends me an invite before I said I want to join gets blacklisted anyway…

This is how you get people to put you on ignore

I would recommend something like this:
Hello my name is xy. I am the guild leader of the yz leveling guild. Whe are currently on the lookout for new players to fill our ranks. We are openly inviting anyone who wants to join our (describe positive attributes of the guild) guild. Please let me know if you are interested.
If they respond you can tell them more about your guild, and if they agree to it, invite them.
I just need to know what to type instead of “%t” to get this working guys.
And no, this is not going to be sent to the whole server, I will just use it while passing by a guildless person.
Try this
/run SendChatMessage("Hi would you like to join my guild?", "whisper", nil, GetUnitName("target"))
edit
Like everybody else in the thread I’d also advice against inviting them before they’ve replied. It’s rude.
just please dont ad the auto-invite.
Some people are happy to be guildless for now^^

This is what in Latin one would call “contradictio in terminis”

If I had my way I’d push for “hostis humani generis”.

Riotblade:
/run SendChatMessage(“Hi would you like to join my guild?”, “whisper”, nil, GetUnitName(“target”))
/ginvite
/run SendChatMessage("I'm looking to become the most ignored person on the server, can you help?", "whisper", nil, GetUnitName("target"))
There you go, best of luck on your quest

Youre clearly doing this so you can spam everyone with it without any effort.
Do not do it
