Who would win in a fight? Just a random question that i have been wondering about. :slight_smile:

What is the context of the fight?
Without knowing that we can not really answer it.

1v1 fight. Like no armies or anything just them 1v1.

The Lich King, easily.

1v1 with no armies ?
Can Gul’Dan consume the essence of the Lich King ?
If not, he loses.

weapons or magic?
In a pure weapons fight Arthas should win beacuse of his paladin training.
In a magic fight Gul’dan has a real chance to win.

I asume we are talking about our version of Gul’dan and Dk Arthas durring Wrath.This fight goes easy to Wrath LK.

On a side note most of the Lk we saw Nerhzul,Bolwar where entities who are behind line ploting stuff,this is how the Lk works.
Also some asume(as my self) that there is an entity in the Helm of Domination that pilots things.Some death entity Blizzard his holding out.

Also a 2. note the WoD Guldan durring the Nighthold would easly win against the Wrath Lk.

Thanks for the answers, but is there anyone who could take him 1v1 easly? New to WoW (Started in the mid of legion).

From what i know about the lore currently.In Azeroth there are three entities top dogs Lk,Odyin and Nzoth left.(after we deal with Azshara)
The remaining faction leaders,group like Cenarion are all week in comparison to the three i’ve mentioned.

Who Arthas? well Holy magic burns him and the character who is credited wtih killing him is Tirion Fordring via ashbringer, by shattering frostmourne.
Not really sure how it works.

Kil’Jaeden is someone who could wipe the floor with the Lich King - He’s the one who created him in the first place. Presumably also Sargeras.

With that in mind, I’d also be very interested to see who’d win a fight between Prophet Velen and the LK. We’ve already seen that the Ashbringer, which was forged from the heart of a Naaru, can destroy Frostmourne and that Velen is powerful enough in the Light to single-handedly restore a darkened Naaru (It happened in WoD). Tbh, I think Velen would be in with a shot at the very least.

And even if Gul’dan wins the fight, he becomes the next Lich King, as there has to be a Lich King. So, LK would win in that case too!

Gul dan wins if they open the fight out of meele range. Arthas is really weak to fel. Like , he can’t do anything against it. In the Arthas novel Illidan burned Arthas with fel and could have won with this but he went for a meele strike instead.

You can make a easy rule. Everyone over Lei Shen Level can defeat him with ease. Blizzard stated Lei Shen would defeat the lich king.

Lei Shen is on the level of a wild god but under a keeper. Source : he fought Xun for a long period before winning.

Which means you can say people like the aspects , many wild gods , all titankeeper , the deathlord during legion , the guardian and many more will defeat him.

The lich king is strong against mortals, but is not as strong vs the stronger beings in WoW.

Alextraza ? Nozdormu? All Ulduar Titan keeper ? The elemental lords ? The wild gods ?

Edit : People forget the lich king is not a fighter. He was never meant to be one. AND FROSTMOURNE IS NOT MADE TO HIT STUFF, LOOKING AT YOU ARTHAS.

Who the hell uses a blade like frostmourne / apocalypse as meele weapons. They are meant to win without even entering the battle field.

Yes , but actually no. The lichking was only a way to hold the undead back. Alliance and horde can deal with that, specially with the recently new power upgrades
