Was he that good ? What plans did he have for deathwing coming back?

Iam not sure if he really planned much in the future

There is a good post over at the US forums regarding Void/Fel,where a guy explains how good death/necromantic/rune magic is good against Void in the cosmology of primordial powers.So i would say that the LK was letting it probabbly play out,he didnt saw the old gods or twilight cult as that menacing.Cause old god’s gave Azeroth the curse of flesh,and flesh/soul like beings are suseptible too his necromantic/spirit magic over that realm.
This would be my guess.He saw the Horde/Alliance a bigger threat…to be delt before he could go against Old gods.

LK leeched heavily off of the old gods. Saronite, the blood of Yogg’Saron, is the foundation for his fortress and walls, and is also made for the scourge’s weapons.
Rune magic is strong versus any type of magic, whether it be void, light or fel.

Regarding Deathwing, that is a direct attack from the old gods, but it has been estimated that in a 1v1 fight the LK would actually beat Deathwing.
However, the LK is primarily a tactician and uses his army to accomplish his goals, which is how he’d win against most opponents, such as the mogu, where he’d be fried by Lei Shen in a 1v1.

How and by who? This is physically not even possible. Deathwing is as big as a whole zone.

Deathwings armor is probably thicer than Frostmourne is long. And under it is molten stone and not flesh.

Lei Shen is < Titan keeper

Titan keeper is around = aspects if we take their fight pre power up against galakrond.

And the aspects together couldn’t fight deathwing.

And Chromagus ( who fought all aspects alone ) stated only deathwing is stronger than him

Completely agree. Deathwing would absolutely destroy the Lich King.

Lich King = Creation of the Legion that became unruly and merged with a mortal

Deathwing = A massive dragon empowered by the Titans and Old golds.

Deathwing wins hands down.

Apologies, I missaid it when I said 1v1. What I meant is that Arthas can summon support, while Deathwing primarily fights alone.
If you recall, Arthas has Sindragosa and Sapphiroth in his arsenal, as well as other cryomantic creatures.

In terms of Lei Shen, he’s just as powerful as Ra as he’s quite literally stolen his powers. The powers of all the titan keepers combined, are just barely enough to match the strength of an old god pre-imprisonment.
As powerful as the LK is, he doesn’t match up to a titan keeper in terms of raw strength.

In the fight you are refering too Deathwing had Dragon Soul,and the aspects lost a hugh chunk of there power.Also Nzoth powered up Deathwing during that whole time.(he powered him also during Dragon Soul fight,where he finaly cracked during the Spine encounter)

But if we are talking about Wrath LK and Deathwing before Cataclysm with no Dragon Soul/Nzoth at his side,LK would wipe the floar with him.

This deathwing would mind crush the lich king. This was were he still was more or less sane. And Rhonin broke in a secound. What Chance has the lich king ?

Who killed sindragosa , would you remind me ? ^^

And death wing is immun to frost magic ( day of the dragon book ) .

Deathwing is really not as powerful as you’d believe him to be. He’s been defeated so many times it’s hard to keep count, often times by basic magic users and even the Alliance Expedition.
Not to mention, he’s been foretold that Thrall would rise up and challenge him, and actually defeat him.

Twice ? By Khadgar and by the raid + dragon soul + all aspects

Khadgar abused a hole in Deathwings armor to strip him naked. Deathwing could have killed all of them there. But he retreated to not fall apart.

In the same situation Khadgar stated no offensive spell works against deathwing.

You’re not wrong, but you’ve basically listed Deathwing’s weakness.
The powers he’s consumed tears him apart unless he’s wearing that armor. Shatter the armor and Deathwing is mortally wounded, and is forced to retreat before he dies from his own powers.

He’s failed many many times, and has to recuperate often because of it. The source has quite the list.

Which needs the power of the dragon soul level. And even if you succeed . He doesn’t die. He keeps on attacking while falling apart.

You can put a hole in his chest as big as Kara and he will keep fighting
