Synonym is a raiding guild that made a return in the Shadowlands expansion. Our core is comprised of old raiders dating back as far as vanilla. We are looking for new members to join our ranks for progress Castle Nathria and onwards.

What kind of experience does Synonym have?
The core of Synonym have raided on high levels since vanilla. We are most known for our performance in Cataclysm competing for top 100 in Firelands and Dragon Soul.
What is the Raid schedule going to be in Shadowlands?
Our current plan is to raid on:
Wednesday 19:30 - 23:00
Sunday 19:30 - 23:00
*Thursday 19:30 - 23:00 (Occasionally only as an extra raid progress)
This means that when a raid tier starts we will raid on a 3 day a week schedule for at least 2 weeks. After that we will stick to a 2 day a week basis.
What are the requirements to join Synonym?
We do not ask for high past performance logs (though those would help your application phase). We have no problem to help you with improvement and getting better at raids as long as you’re willing to learn, bring all necessary consumables and put in the effort to min-max your character.
However, some form of prior experience is preferable. But don’t be deterred from asking and/or applying. We consider every person that applies to Synonym.
Is there anything specific I need to do for the guild?
While we do not currently have requirements for donating mats to the guild bank, we do highly encourage contributing as we want to build the guild up to provide consumables for the raid. As it is now, we can provide at least 1 cauldron per raid, thanks to mats given to the guild bank by our raiders.
What are the loot rules going to be like?
Since Personal loot has invaded the raiding scene we have decided that if an item drops for your Main spec you get to keep it. This does mean that if that stats on the item does not match your Best in slot stat priority you are to redistribute it to the raid group.
If Master loot somehow manages to return we will use Loot Council.
