[H-RP, Blood Elf] Sun's Embrace - Military Guild!

Uh oh. Your tabard is so close to ours, save for the trim colours.
This is not a complaint! More a sorry in advance if you are ever mistaken for my bunch of worthless incompetents.

[important guild update here that serves only to bump the thread up and mentions in way too many words that we are recruiting]

Interesting! I shall love to do some RP with you guys at some point. I reckon the Lightseekers and your lot would get along swimmingly.

Hmmm…

How’s this guild going? Going well, I assume?

I was away at a conference last week, I logged in today to find that the Discord server has disappeared, I’ve been removed from the guild, and the officer I added on Bnet had unfriended me.

The guild is no longer appearing on the armoury, and seems to have been disbanded.

Well, that’s harsh. Guess my peeve of people only caring about you as long as you have the guild tag is true.
Disappointing.

It’s just quite confusing for me, because when I was last on the guild was doing fine, adding members, preparing for the first IC event, etc. And then I come back after a short period of time to find that everything is gone without a word.

Some other former members have told me that there was allegedly some incident where someone was kicked for not attending the first event because it overlapped with a pre-existing WoW commitment for them, and the guild folded shortly after. So disappointing and quite unprofessional (well, if you can apply such a term to video games) if this is true.

Just to put this to rest:

The Guild Master and her second in command have decided that they can’t commit to going through with the guild as they fell out of love with the guild’s concept.

As such, they decided to disband the guild and delete the Discord server they made for it, without telling anyone before proceeding with it… which resulted to a lot of confusion among the 11 players who were members of the guild at the time.

That’s the whole story. I’ll leave it at that.

And before anyone starts throwing :poop: at me thinking I was an officer, know that I’m not.

I just figured to inform those who were interested or in the guild (as I don’t have most of them their Discord names) and are most likely still scratching their heads thinking what the Hell happened.

Sorry to hear about this! Guild disbands are never pleasant. Good luck in the future!

This guild has disbanded unfortunately don’t worry none of us were removed technically.

Hello there!

First of all, no one was kicked, don’t worry.

But actually, the GM and others lost interest, couldn’t commit to it, they thought they can’t run it, and were busy, and decided to disband the guild and remove the server. It’s nothing against anyone personal, don’t worry!
Although the announcement was made late, and the server was deleted early.

This is what the GM told me personally, even a shame that it has been disbanded and i wished it would go on as i liked it, but it’s done for now.

(And no i am no officer or GM, but a friend.)

And personally i am sorry about that, and wish everyone best of luck furthermore.

This isn’t directed at you Aery, but I’m sorry, what the hell? Fell out of love with the concept? It only existed like two weeks. How completely irresponsible. I hope that the GM and first officer are not involved in running any guilds for a long time to come.

That is true. But hey, moving on to other things!

I think that is a tad extreme, the leader and officers may have thought it was good on paper, but it’s very easy to lose motivation on guild concepts.

I confess it was a bit upsetting when I found out. - I was left very confused and had major anxiety I had been kicked. Left me rather anxious and upset till Kump explained to me. To everyone who was in the guild, I hope you all find luck elsewhere. I really do.

It’s time to start searching for a home again. T_T

I’d argue that when you start recruiting people and it stops existing only on paper, you have some sort of responsibility (in one’s capacity as a decent human being) to properly inform people instead of just making the entire project disappear overnight, but that’s just me. Furthermore, by deleting the Discord and the guild so quickly, it makes it very difficult for the members who had met and started becoming friends to find each other.

If they lost interest in such a short period of time, they were obviously poorly committed to the idea from the onset, and had no business recruiting people and causing others to waste their time. Both what they did and the way they handled it is incredibly disrespectful to the people they suckered into joining.
