CRANKFIZZLE CARAVAN - "We Move Stuff!"
A motley group of travellers makes their way through the Barrens, Mulgore, and Durotar. It started as a caravan: traders and their guards, a camp cook and a scout. Finding safety in numbers, others joined: outcasts and trackers, storytellers and soothsayers, the mad, the bored and the clanless. Fellow travellers might join in for a leg of the journey, ensuring their passage is a safe one–and the company is always welcome.
Crankfizzle Caravan is a new guild aiming to, above all, restore life to Horde roleplay outside of major cities. Our goal is to provide an open setting for roleplayers to join and use freely, and random RP for travellers to encounter, with roleplayers moving along the roads throughout northern Kalimdor. We also aim to add an ever-changing backdrop and travel roleplay to those who enjoy it. We want to provide a framework for roleplay: that is, a concept and a core membership for others to expand and work around. Members are encouraged to create their own trade routes, events, and social gatherings under the guild name, with few rules or regulations to restrict them. Other guilds are encouraged to join us in our travels.
Locations:
We will be, to begin with, primarily travelling through Horde-controlled middle Kalimdor: Durotar, the Barrens, and Mulgore. In-character, the guild will work closely with the Steamwheedle Cartel and with Orgrimmar to ensure that shipments of food, supplies and other trade goods make it safely from Ratchet to Orgrimmar, to the Crossroads, Thunder Bluff, and various other points nearby.
Membership:
We welcome any Horde character who might join a travelling caravan in the region. There are no class or race restrictions. In particular, the following might find a place:
- Traders, merchants and smugglers;
- Caravan guards;
- Outrunners, scouts, trackers, and hunters;
- Medics, cooks, and animal handlers (for supply beasts);
- Story- and fortune-tellers;
- Fellow travellers, for safety in numbers;
- Outcasts, the mad, the bored, and the clanless, and more!
In character, those interested in applying to join the caravan officially as merchants, guards, scouts, animal handlers, medics etc. can contact Grimegear or Lemso for an in-character meeting and invitation. Others can join the guild as associates if they travel as part of the caravan, but anyone from any guild is welcome to join up with the caravan for casual roleplay at any time–that’s the idea!
Activity:
The idea is that of a primarily social guild that will wander trade routes as a group. This means a lot of travel and campfire casual roleplay. However, DM’d events may be run by officers (or anyone), including such things as ex. centaur attacks, questionable smuggling, escorts through dangerous terrain, “oops is that a demonic soulstone we were carrying and did it just break?” and more.
- Attacks on the caravan are welcomed. STEAL OUR GOODS!
- Random RP is welcomed!
- While the caravan is primarily civilian, it can be assumed that it strengthens Horde supply lines, and is thus a welcome target for Alliance attacks. Crankfizzle’s Caravan is Horde-based, and likely to respond to Alliance presence with defensive hostility, though this depends very much on the opinion of individuals present at the time.
- Guild members DO NOT have to stick together at all times! Members are encouraged, and welcome, to create their own roleplay, events, and caravan branches under our name in other locations!
- Guild members are welcome to also utilize zeppelin or ship RP for additional shipping and travel roleplay!
- Other guilds needing supplies moved are encouraged to contact us IC for their events, or just for fun!
Rules:
- Be good to each other. If you’ve got our guild tag on, don’t grief roleplay or be a jerk to others.
- Try to stick to the guild’s core philosophy of creating roleplay. Invite others to join in, don’t refuse caravan attacks or robberies, never push RP away!
- Don’t publically ERP.
Help us form and grow, and help Horde RP flourish! Join us, or just come and say hi. We’re just getting started, and our core membership will be made up of a small group of friends who’ve been RPing together for years. We will be forming properly and beginning RP within the next week or two!
Note: we’re new player friendly. Want to get your roleplay feet wet? Poke our officers; we’ll be glad to help!
