As summer reaches its apogee and the light once more dwindles, the children of blood open their gilded gates to their comrades of the Horde to come gather and join in celebration of the eternal kingdom.

The Festival of Quel’thalas promises to be a celebration of fun and reverie with displays of magic, combat, art, music and dance wreathed in the crimson and gold filigrees that remind us of our promise. To never forget what we have lost and what the future holds for us.

Please come and join us for these nights of celebrations where we bring you to the Festival of Quel’thalas and help us remember, together.

When: Friday the 25th of June

Sign-up Information

The deadline for signing up is Friday the 18th of June, until 00.00 ST. After that a list of 16 names will be drawn from the pool of sign ups! To give everyone a fair chance and not let one guild take up the majority of slots, no more than 3 names from a single guild will be allowed onto the final list. Depending on the sign-ups, a portion of the available slots will be reserved for individuals/guildless players. The final list of participants will be posted Saturday morning.

IC/OOC Rules Duelling Tournament:

General

  • The format used for this tournament is single elimination rounds, meaning if you lose a duel, you are immediately out of the competition.

  • No use of magic or enchants, this is a competition of pure physical and tactical skill, next to that this rule is also implemented to keep it fair for all non-magic users.

  • Any type of armour is allowed, weapons however need to be suitable for sparring. Training/sparring weapons will be made available for characters who do not own such.

  • No hits to the neck or head, or targeted at the groin area. Breaking this rule will lead to immediate disqualification.

  • Be mindful of the amount of text you offer, try to keep your emotes below two paragraphs.

  • Keep track of your score in your TRP Currently, for easy overview. There will be overseers present but it’s mostly handy for you and your opponent so you don’t lose track during your duel.

  • Please be on time. If you arrive later than 10 minutes for your duel it will be an automatic win for your opponent, score 3-0. Due to time management and the format of the tournament we cannot wait indefinitely for people to arrive.

  • There will be medals for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

  • You will get an invite for the raid group from one of the overseers, once we have gathered and the OOC info is relayed, we will split up in different groups.

Mechanics

  • A winner is declared upon being the first to reach 3HP (Hit Points)

  • Each duel starts with rolling for initiative (1-100), the highest roll gets the first attack move

  • All rolling will be done through basic 1-100 rolls, without modifiers

  • Rolling a 100 as an attacker or defender will grand an automatic additional hit

  • To avoid duels lasting indefinitely, a ‘fatigue debuff’ will be activated after the 5th round of rolling with no winner declared yet. When rolling for defense, you will deduct 10 off your roll result. This debuff increases with 10 every next defense roll you do.

IC/OOC Rules Jousting Tournament

  • All rolling will be done with basic 1-100 rolls and the scoring system is as follows:
    1-20 No hit, your lance misses any target
    21-40 1 point for a light hit, your lance stays intact
    41-80 2 points for a moderate hit, the tip of your lance breaks
    81-99 3 points for a heavy hit, your lance shatters
    100 You dismount your opponent and automatically win the match
  • Should both contestants end up with the same score after three rounds, an ‘all or nothing’ roll battle will be implemented. Both contestants roll 1-100, the highest roll gets an additional point.

What a beautiful first day this was! On behalf of the Silvermoon Discord Mods I would like to thank all of you lovely people who turned up to Sunstrider Isle to share with us this celebration, and grace us with varied beautiful RP on the first night of Felo’alah! The RP was beyond spectacular to boil all in a most fulfilling experience for the opening ceremony, market, and casual interactions alike.

IMPORTANT INFO: There are two parts to this auction - bidding for items, and bidding for services.

For the items auction, there are some that have accompanying artwork. Some of these are outfits with their own outfit designs and there are RULES accompanying these outfits:-

  • The outfit designs themselves will not be changed upon being won.

  • Once the outfit design has been won, that’s it. It belongs to the winner. It’s like a commission, only it’s free.

  • The outfit designs are fitted to blank models, which will be adjusted to reflect the character who it has been won for. This means the addition of hair, facial features and any scars that may be on display. It does NOT mean changing the body type entirely. Please don’t ask for large adjustments to the model.

  • Be nice! These outfit designs were painted for free for the purpose of this auction.

EDIT: Please note that the outfits designs are provided by both myself and Gale of Project Zero!

There will be breaks called out during the auction, during which people are welcome to advertise their IC shops/services.
