I like this idea a lot I do remember it as well though vaguely a bit it’s been a few years since then. - I think this could be a good attention drawer and if people want to do any meeting around that as well we could and talk about on going plans or such with our own groups. It’d just be nice to get everyone mingling again.

It’s something I’m happily committed to helping with. I by no means wish to be a “leader” in this scenario but someone who works along with everyone else to make something. I also understand it will just start with me and my group and build out from there!

I can abide the new threads but for godsake, put the damn hat back on.
Such harrowing mentions and details, I cannot describe or begin to put into imagination!
Nonetheless, I hope that a lot of takes and opinions as well as thoughts from everyone gathered on this thread have helped others think of bigger ideas or maybe ideas they could more set in stone. As I have mentioned throughout the thread I am more than happy to help with anything in any way shape or form that I can though due to a busy IRL with my kids and working most days I don’t exactly have the time to be a ‘leader’ ! Nor would I wish to be!
If anyone has more ideas or anything throw them about and we can all hopefully come up with something that works for us all in the community!
So far we’ve had suggestions such as;
RP / IC
- Tournaments / Training Days
- Festivities and celebrations that gather people to a location (i.e. Kosh’harg)
- Recruitment faire (I know the FPC used to this and so did the PCU for a time!)
- Just a social night (Like the Campfire nights led by Haiku and the IWC)
- A Quarterly Summit and meeting of the other guilds to discuss what’s going on and their plans in a specific location that is easy to access for the majority!
OOC
- Making a Discord for Horde only
- Remaking the AD/D discord or other discords that was used back in the day.
- Making a Discord that is purposefully for RP things.
- Restarting the Rumour Mill thread(s)

I remember a great time with all the blood elven guilds met up a few times a year for big events, within the blood knight halls, fun times with alot of drama llama.

Aye I definitely remember participating in one or two of the Conclaves as an officer / advisor rather than a Leader. Back when I was still a bit green when it came to leadership arcs. Though, I believe my character back then was also very obnoxious to deal with, haha.
I do miss the days when the City was full as well it’s a shame that we as the Horde community have such low numbers to date. It’ll be good to see you around again though Thal, not seen you in a good while now hope everything is going good for you both in game and IRL!
Hopefully, we can bring something about that you yourself could even attend even if it was to be a once in a blue moon afterall, you could probably pass on some ideas and such both IC and OOC! Mr Sun Thief!

And I also left the game for a while, was away for a few years doing volenteer humanitarian work, good times.
Been thinking of going back to some casual RP, but now I mostly just enjoy the pvp

There is always room to rebuild caught another one of your’s a few weeks ago actually who is still around!
Glad to hear it man! Happy that you got to experience something cool like that! – Casual RP right now would be really nice for us all to have so maybe find yourself around Orgrimmar, Crossroads or Razor Hill! sometimes those three spots flare up with activity. The latter being spontaneous though Orgrimmar will come back at some point.
As for Sillyspoon I’m unsure if that’s still got some relative activity floating about it.
Aye I’m always good! Had a lot of change in my life over the past few years myself. Ended up being blessed with becoming a dad and got engaged, etc. But I’ll spare them details from our Community thread here!

For the folks that may have been chiming in to this forum thread and haven’t yet noticed what is going on;
These are a couple of the things going on right now.
I’ll be sure to keep you guys up to date maybe make a new thread for Horde RP and the big events going on! Unsure as of yet but, I thought it’d be nice to keep you all informed.

Thank you for the post mentioning fireside. That is just a monthly gathering though.
Looking through this, its a balancing act. You want structure and guilds to be connected. have alliances maybe fueds with other guilds, and big meetings would normally be big events. Doing it for the sake of status feels… Odd. Least to myself.
There is a lot that can be done, just sticking with it. Or having people talk to each other. I would suggest to go smaller scale. Have guilds plan events around each other. Up the scale, and then work together. Mix and match members for the events. Then you give each person a different side. Half of RP is the experiance. And the other is being able to share that with others. It would at least serve as a small test of what was suggested.
I was only skimming this though. So sorry if some points were raised or others gave them earlier.
I think with this it’s kind of something you have to give the benefit of the doubt. Are there people who do things with their character that are purely OOC ego boosts? Almost undoubtedly yes - the self-inserts, people who live vicariously through their character, or plain old narcissism. It happens, but I don’t think it’s common.
I genuinely think almost every event hosted that I can think of (with the exception of one RPPVP campaign that went completely off the rails OOC) have been done with the intentions of just making fun roleplay rather than doing some sort of power-play or status showing etc.
If I’m misinterpreting what you meant, then apologies and feel free to disregard this entirely!

Well that’s intially the plan to have this a normal gathering between groups and guilds that could give them the chance to all connect and get to know one another.
I cannot say I know what this is for though. Maybe other people have done this before with that interest but I can assure you I have no interest in playing politics on the Server again and trying to become some kind of status or such. I just want to help out as Obahar says here;
That’s really the end goal. It’s just to help boost the community not my own image or namesake per se.
I was just spitballing ideas and brainstorming for the Community itself anyone can pick up from here and make something they are interested in whether that is with or without me / my group is fine. So long as it helps the community that’s all that matters.
It’s a shame to see that we dwindle in numbers so much.
Though I hope, your fireside gathering did well tonight as well! I was too busy working unfortunately.
