[H-RP] The Forlorn Order

In Hillsbrad, a ceremony was held for two promotions and welcoming a new member into the Order. Ann-Marie Frojd ascended into the ranks as sir Treiller handed her the overcoat carrying the Order’s colours and the eagle of Lordaeron, as a symbol of her duty for their cause. In addition to miss Frojd’s ascension, both Viverc Zaramir and “Silverfish” climbed up within the rank system for their prowess in the field of Arcane, healing and gathering experience by serving the Order.

The speech that was given by sir Florian Treiller, the Commander of the Fist of the Order, at the ceremony:

As we all know, our duty binds us to this landscape, to these lands. Our duty for Lordaeron, for our people living in these ruined lands, despite the Banshee’s betrayal still quite fresh in our array of wounds.

Behind us, lies the jewel of Lordaeron: the Lordamere Lake. Next to it, the crown that the jewel belongs in. It stands blighted, our home. The home, beneath which we once dwelled, in our own peace, hidden from the world of the living in the sewers like diseased rats and maggots, undesired by the rest of the world.

Yet, the Forsaken now stand beneath the same sun as the other races of Azeroth. Therefore we finally share certain goals with our living allies in the Horde, but our priority, it lies here in these lands and in us. We are people, bound to the northern kingdoms, like our living kin. We are here, to reclaim, rebuild and unite. To make the soil bloom with life and give our people a roof to stay under.

This orchard we stand in at the very moment, may lie in ruins, but with effort it can be made prosperous once more. The very woman, who stands before the gaze of the Order, is someone who could certainly lift the dusk off this farm with her mere profession as a master of beverages. Her efforts in the Order, the civilian craftmanship and prowess in battle alike, have shown that she indeed is dedicated to our cause and we, the Order, would be honoured to keep her in our ranks for further triumphs.

By the decision of the Council, I, Sir Florian Treiller of Gilneas, bestow the overcoat with the symbol of our cause upon you, Ann-Marie Frojd of Dalaran. Bear the Eagle of Lordaeron with pride, for the wind beneath its wings is growing with every step we take.

The Order has had a week of spending time with their allies: first at the birthday bash of the Thalassian Skyguard, and this week has gone fast in Nagrand where we’ve taken part in Kosh’harg, or more commonly known as Orcfest among the guild. With three stalls up at Kosh: Miama’s bakery stall, Ann-Marie’s brewing stall and Silverfish’s blood donation stall, we have earned some coin to fund our future endeavors, so thank you all for supporting the friendly neighborhood zombies!

Back in Silverpine once more and no shortage of trouble seems to have piled up in our absence. Last night the Order ventured into Hillsbrad Foothills to collect the bounty on a wendigo that had been attacking travellers. Said wendigo might have been a little bigger than expected, but at the end of the day, the zombies still prevailed.

The Forlorn Order is also on the cusp of our very first anniversary! It did take us a while to decide what exact date to count as our anniversary, but in the end we decided to go with the date of our IC founding. So tomorrow the Forlorn Order is 1 year old!

A year already? That’s neat!
Happy Anniversary to you, you…

Uhhhh… Google terms of endearment. One of those probably fits.

And what a mad, mad year it has been.

As you should. We killed that talking dog fair and square.

And today marks our one year anniversary. From a handful of people who wanted to keep RPing together after the GM of our previous guild called it quits, to where we are now. We have not only steadily grown throughout the last year, but the SL and ABK trouble drain has largely passed us by. A big thank you to all of our members, old and new, to all the people and guilds who helped us get on our feet when we first started, and to all the new friends we made, especially more recently. Here’s to at least another year of zombie shenanigans!

It has indeed been a year and I have spent hours upon hours on stories and plots among lovely people and intricate characters. It has been a wonderful journey. As someone that has been with the guild since day one I’m very happy to see how much we have progressed and grown over that time. Thanks to all that stick with us through all this time!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes!

I shall post the first anniversary speech held by Florian last Friday, in the birthday gathering.

Our cause, our purpose: Unite. Rebuild. Reclaim. The three words that did not die with the Tirisfallen, who we used to be. The torch shone bright, intensely aflame. It still does, to this day.

First, carried by those whom did not leave the cause despite Winteroak’s departure. A spark of hope returned into the dark and desolate lands of Lordaeron, beckoning the like-minded, brave sons and daughters, the Banshee-betrayed kin to us. Many heeded the first call: Harkington, Mordris, Terfel. A call for a better future, under the wings of the eagle.

With time, the Order’s influence has not only spread among the resettlers, our reputation is known in the Horde forces as well. Triumphantly, we have fought the Scourge and zealots alike, standing firmly beside our brothers and sisters at arms. From the cold, snowy hills of Northrend to the very depths of the sea, we have brought victory for the Forsaken. The Eagle has flown through storms, dived into the dark waters. But every time, re-emerged stronger than before.

Before me stands the pride of our people. Those who will secure our future. Astonishing fighters, dedicated medics and iron-willed, hardworking civilians. You have given all. And there is more to give, until our duty is done. It shall not end until the kingdom stands once more as a home for all Forsaken to live in peace and prosperity.

Fly high, eagle of Lordaeron. For a year, the winds of undeath have carried you. May they continue doing so, for many years to come.

For Lordaeron, for the Order.

Spooktober is here and that means it is busy season for your favourite little zombie guild! I am doing a series of horror themed events throughout the month to get everyone into the spirit of Hallow’s End, we’ve got friends from Quel’thalas visiting this Friday for an epic joint event, and we of course also have our very own Hallow’s End celebration coming up on the 29th. Hope to see you there!

We’ve also welcomed quite a few new members relatively recently, so recruitment remains closed until further notice while our newest members get settled in. We will let you all know once we open the doors for fresh corpses once more.

Doctor Silverfish has been promoted to the rank of Councillor! Now she stands as a guide and head medic of the Hearts of the Order. It also means that Silverfish has become an addition to our Council and is an ooc guild officer. Feel free to contact them in case of any questions about the guild!

Congratulations!

Meanwhile the Order has taken part in the battle against Scarlets at the Shadowfang Keep alongside our allies from the Crimson Vanguard and Blazing Phoenix, as the Elves of Quel’Thalas answered a call for aid. Surprisingly the mission went very well and something tells me the issues are not yet fully over.

The guild is soon to take part in the Hallow’s End Celebrations in Taren Mill, where we are to celebrate this important day for any Forsaken. I hope to see you all there!

Our recruitment is open again!

Tonight the Forlorn Order spoiled the schemes of the nefarious Captain Herbedius Westwick - Reanimator and had a tense stand-off when he threatened to blight the coastline from Stromgarde to Gilneas. The zombies prevailed however, and Westwick is now on his way to be handed over to the powers that be.

As Treiller said, we have once again opened recruitment and we have already welcomed 2 new members. We still have spots available, but not many before we close recruitment again for the time being. So if you have a Forsaken character and you have been thinking about joining our merry gang, there is no better time than now!

And after recruitment was open for 5 days officers decided to close it again to welcome new members aboard and get familar.

Only today the Order has established Archive and a storage area with help of one peculiar, quite ecentric mage.

The preparations for incoming Hallow’s End continue and we will happily see you lots in Tarren Mill on friday to celebrate this important day for the Forsaken!

And with Hallow’s End now in the rear view mirror, the Forlorn Order prepares for a very busy November. We’ve got a campaign in Northrend planned for the end of the month and a very full calendar till then. But first, we see out Spooktober with a visit to our allies in the Argent Crusade at Tyr’s Hand.

Like Lightwhisper said, recruitment is once again closed and is likely to remain so for the next month at least. That of course doesn’t mean that we don’t still welcome visitors. So if you want to meet us and RP with us, feel free to swing by the Sepulcher!
