How sad to see other RPers take part in a hub or event and to immediately assume malice, to the point of true IRL panic?
How does it get to where people constantly live in this conspiracy theory where RP efforts are not people taking part in a hobby but attempts to ‘take over’, or ‘control’.

The disheartening moment when yet another death threat emerges from the bowls of the internet. It makes you wonder how people can even think like that. If I could withdraw my little heart-like from their post then I would, but it’s just sad what these toxic feuds are doing to people and to RP hubs.

Cause for good or ill, the PCU tag does come with a reputation. I’m personally not a fan of excluding each and everyone that wears it, and I’ve had good experiences the few times I rp’ed with members of it ( Also, I dunno if Mercia remembers, but I am that Ebon that she talked to amidst the ruins of Andorhal during your campaign a good while back on an evening!).

Also sending death threats to people over a hobby is cringe, those who do it should seek help.

I’m positive that’s true for the great majority of PCU people, just ordinary folk who want to enjoy your hobby. There is a bit of a reputation a Desartin said; based on experiences and occasions of toxicity at various points in time. But the truth is that shouldn’t stain the whole group, and vice-versa where other communities are concerned as well. In any case, Death threats and the like are just not on - regardless of what people’s opinions are.
