It hasn’t been hacked… kids give their details to their friends, then go pikachu surprise face, when they get ripped off.
friend is’not a kid
Which is more likely. The resource used to figure out the real id of a player(unless they know him allready or that individual shared it) then getting a fake id of that individual just seems like to much hassle for no real winnings.
Probably best not to discuss that on the forums, since it’s a T&Cs Red Card…and ‘your friend’ must be delighted you are telling every stranger on the forum, what ‘your friend’ has in his account…
I am fairly certain that data protection and GDPR prevent them sharing stuff like that. For all Blizzards faults, they do seem to be stickers for privacy and sharing the contents of emails, tickets and private conversations seems an unusual move.
Doubt levels are high that this ever happened.
Anyhow,I suggest that your friend do a full sweep of his PC and check the integrity of his email password. Make sure to check PC first. Once that is done I would contact the police about stolen ID and misuse of it. The do the same with bank to prevent funds being lost. And sign him up for an e-security class. Really sounds like he needs it.
Imagine selling your account to 11 different people and expecting a different result. Good job OP
I lost half of my brain funcionality by reading this thread.
Good thing its weekend soon then:p
As if blizzard would just randomly deactivate all protections on an account and attach it to a completely new email if a person just sent a ticket about “hurp durp this account is mine I just forgot the email”.
That’s clever, actually. That way Lil’ Deathwing’s nerdrage wasn’t directed at the parents (at least until he found out). Might have even quit in frustration and picked up a book to fill the time. But man, holidays must have been pretty intense since then
Yeah ‘my friend’ threads are usually pretty suspicious. Even if said friend’s English is pretty bad google translate is actually pretty good these days so he can just run whatever he wants to say there.
