There are benefits and downsides to interbreeding, both scientifically and socially in real life. Also people don’t necessarily need to be racist to not want to have an interracial relationship. If you don’t find people of a certain race attractive, that’s totally fine.
Racist would be people who are against interracial relationships of others.
What’s wrong with pointing out parallels to the real world? People do this all the time in the lore community.
Also: How do you come to that conclusion? The playable races in wow are all intelligent humanoids and not animals. If 2 different races love each other and both give consent, why shouldn’t they be able to reproduce together?

Even if they could, they are doomed already as a “race”.
Let’s say humanity IRL was down to only 100 (heck, let’s say even 1000!) men and women, so around the same numbers of Void Elves in lore.
There’s no coming back from that, the race would be effectively extinct as it’s impossible from such tiny numbers to spawn back a civilization, much less to repopulate the world. Too many problems about it IRL, so think about the additional ones in the game like the Void constantly whispering into their minds and living in an extremely unfitting and discomforting homeland for children (I’m talking about Telogrus’ Rift)
but guess what Blizzard is going to ignore the issue anyway

Of course not, this is why I think that RL parells don’t really work here. Humans might be different but they’re same specie after all.
In wow all races are completely different species - sentinent/intelligent or no.

but seriously as far as I know there’s no source of Void Elves being “in conversion” mode regardless. Sure they accept the High/Blood Elves who are interested in their newfound powers but we can’t say if even those ones can be mutated into Void Elves or not, and that’s an additional problem.
Furthermore they are a handful of people, I would imagine Shadow Priests/Warlocks anyway who would like to join the Void Elves. All the other are either too loyal to Quel’thalas, afraid of their Void powers and/or too devoted to the Light of the Sunwell to even think about joining them. And that’s not even taking into account Lor’themar and Rommath starting a propaganda campaign against traitor Void Elves, anyway. So no big deal…
