Happy early Ramadan!

The thing is, modern Christians as well as a growing community of modern Muslims distance themselves from such religious extremism. I’m not a fan of monotheistic religions either but traditions like Ramadan are a prime example of how people can focus on peaceful aspects of their belief.

That sadly doesn’t remove the fact that these books which they consider to be “holy” and a pillar of morality contain such vile hatred in them.

Surely not but each person practicing their religion / spirituality peacefully is a person I can tolerate. I don’t need to agree with their holy sources nor adapt them. But I can appreciate the fact that they themselves are not preaching hate or putting the wrong parts of source into action.

I think the thread has gone too offtopic, as expected similar to 2021 thread which got delisted.

suppose this will be my last Happy ramadan thread, as i honestly dont have patience to make one next year. If anyone is brave enough, go ahead.

Happy Ramadan anyway, and Happy early Easter too for those fasting for Easter.

Again, i thank the people who were understanding and understood the meaning behind the thread.

I think the only way to do it is to make the thread, and not engage with whatever crawls out of the woodwork to derail things. For whatever it’s worth, I thought it a perfectly lovely sentiment.
