The recent change to the drop rate of Black Lotus on Anniversary Servers is a needed but very lame hotfix.
A much better way is to let guilds go raid 40-man AV once a week and compete for a Black Lotus reward. See HC Battlegrounds with Arena rules (no ressing, but no permadeath).

Lose: Box of random herbs

I had suggested Black Lotus rewards from AV over on reddit some time ago. Two birds with one stone type deal.
But there should probably be some tangible reward for doing BG’s. However, this could really be anything. It could just be gold.
How about winning 3 AV’s rewards you with a Black Lotus and 30 Dreamfoil
OK, I would not care one way or another I do not do BGs.
And I thought this was just one more “Give us more Black lotus” post.
The blue post I link to, is as far as I can see only on the US forum … and only valid for Anniversary realms.
