I haven’t. I constantly get character creation timed out. I don’t see any other posts about this on Reddit or these forums. I’ve tried to scan and repair my installation, but that didn’t help.
Once character creation fails, I can’t even load my regular characters.
Has any of you succeeded in making one yet?
Yes, I made one and there are loads of others in the area. The intro was pretty decent imo.
I’m very happy for you. Maybe it’s a problem with Stormscale or my account then. I can’t for the life of me figure this out and it’s tilting me so hard.
I’ve checked everything. The achievement for unlocking the race is earned and I can start the creation process, but not finish it. What a load of BS.
I can’t create Earthen, in fact I can’t create any character at all. First it says that character creation timed out and when I click again it just says error creating character. Then I can’t get my character list to show and I have to Alt+F4 to exit the game.
Does this seem familiar at all?

I take comfort in knowing that it’s a problem we share then.
At least we know the issue is affecting Stormscale and Argent Dawn thus far.
I think too many people right now are trying to create one, that’s my suspicion. I’m getting the same error.
I’ve been trying for close to 2 hours now. It shouldn’t be this difficult to write to a database. Especially when I can create new characters of any other race/class combo without issues.
I have. This character was obviously race changed, but I have a Horde one I created and had no issues.
Interesting. You succeeded on Argent Dawn? The very same realm that’s supposedly affected by this? Maybe the race change was relevant in some way. Thank you for sharing.
