Can you give me examples that makes people desire regular flying when Drake’s riding is by far superior ?

“Riding” (gliding is the right word, but whatever) is by far superior for travelling from point A to point B, I agree. But you know, some people just love flying around, enjoy the views, well, use their very big collection of mounts they had been using for 15 years. And I have a question - if gliding is far superior, then why are you even asking? Just use it. No one wants to take it away from you. Just let old flying system enjoyers use this slow and outdated style. It will hurt no one.

I am so sorry OP

From unlocking the pathfinder for normal/regular flying in Dragon Isles is going to take you longer than 10 months (If you haven´t done the renowns before)

Tyvm for replaying all.

Yes, I understand now, it’s not worth it.
I guess this will be the first WoW expansion that I will not purchase.

Classic it is then :smiley:

the stupid thing is you not only need the base 4, you need the 10.1 and the 10.2 reputation :man_facepalming:

Hmm that’s a bit much :slight_smile: I’m trying to remember how long it took me, I think around two to three months to max the renowns without doing the dungeon quests…? And you don’t need max.

But WoD and Legion pathfinders with part 1 and part 2 I can remember almost everything from taking a month and half or 2 months, it was still fine.

I am playing WoW daily

I am still stuck from having less than 5 renowns, even at doing Raiding, PvP and dungeoning

Yeah these unfortunately don’t do a thing unless it’s for a quest. If you would like the renown I can recommend the weekly things like feast or hunt and such, in combination with the weekly accord quest in Valdrakken it’s not too horribly slow. It still takes time tho, there’s that. And some of these activities really benefit from dragonriding, which is simply not doable for everyone.

I hope they’ll introduce a catch up system.

That’s because those activities are not for renown. World content is.

That is a DF feature though. In SL we got renown for callings, dungeons, etc. Basically everything handed over renown. Renown wasn’t reputation based.

If you want renown you need to do the time scheduled events (like the feast), and for the Niffen you need to do the Researchers weekly event in a group, otherwise you get about 500 rep out of it and it will be difficult to finish the 1500 weekly Niffen quest too (which also rewards another 500).

TL;DR How do I Grind Renown?

You are able to grind Renown for the five major Dragonflight factions by doing the following:

  • Complete the weekly Reputation quest;

  • Complete the various World Quests scattered around the Dragon Isles;

  • Complete Community Events as you find them available;

  • Complete one-time quests from the zones as you unlock Renown;

  • Farm Renown tokens by completing various tasks and turning them at the specific quartermasters.

By completing these, it is to be expected to gain at least 3 Renown with each faction per week with minimal effort, with more Renown being gained as you farm more activities like Community Events and Renown Token farming.

See the whole guide here

I think whoever said 10 months to reach renown 15 was exaggerating. Whilst I can’t remember how long it took to hit 15 when I actually farmed renown. It wasn’t anywhere near that long.

10 months is obviously nonsense :grin: But for Niffen i think you get about 5 renown out of the campaign, and then you have to grind quite hard to get just over 1 renown per week.

Well, I am a casual player without the ability to sit in front of the computer and play for 2-3 hours or more straight up. I’m doing stuff around the house i help my kids etc. (I’m actually standing and playing, I have a standing table).

And also that sometimes there goes days without me logging in the game so for me Bornelock’s comment could be quite accurate :slight_smile: You could say that this game is no longer for people like me, but WoW has a good place in my heart from the times when i could sit for 6-7 hours playing and raiding and all that :slight_smile:

But ty guys for explaining that it doesn’t take 10m for everyone.

Once again ty all vm for taking your time. GL and HF :slight_smile:
