So it seems from the state of wow right now Anniversary is a failure, SOD is ending and wow classic cata has a low playerbase now.
Blzzard has clearly.let down the classic side of wow down.
I know blizzard are trying to add things to make it more fun and make some great changes. But tge buggest problem of wow and has been since its existence is botters and players who RMT.
Originally it wasnt a big issue has not much effect on the market due to blizzard activity dealing with the issue but as time went on they just seemed to start to lose the battle.
As years went on we saw blizzard making drastic actions like adding the wow token in retail wow, this clearly did not work and over time its make everyone realise its helped the botters further as now they can get free game time from tokens minimising cost to botters a d ultimately costing the avg wow player a higher price.
We saw a bot issue in the launch of 2019 classic but with ban waves and the reporting system as it was seemed like the battle was starting to favour the players bots seemed less and less. The great changes to banning muilty boxing helped also.
Then over time in classic blizzard started losing the battle again where botters were using havms to fly around and all sorts. I still see this is noy fixed?
They then added the token to classic which fueled the botters further and classic cata turned in to pay to win in the end. This destroyed the game and social dynamic.
We then saw SOD come in which was great but botters came back to strike. Blizzard then added rules like banning GDKP’s which was great but then botters started having market share on the AH forceing people to swipe so they can buy there consumes.
Blizzard also made a big mistake by just creating mega servers and adding layers depending on people online at the time which then makes the demand for items even higher but where they turned off 7 out of 10 layers prices skyrocket and botters then turned to camping locations making it impossible for a avg player to farm so forced to swipe.
Classic anniversary was a fail from the start. It seems like little to no supprt from blizzard. Is this how they celebrated a anniversary buy allowong botters/gold sellers to win and take huge proffits?
Simple fixes that would stop most these bad issues is keep peak layers on for the full week and reset on wednesday.
Separate the sub for classic wow making it unable to be gifted or purchased by wow token.
Do verify account meaning 1 legitimate account per person.
Give a 1% drop chance for black lotus from.high level herbs and add a 1.5% drop chance for aracne crystsal to drop from normal thorium veins.
Dont let the botters and RTM guys win, because soon tou will have a game full of bots and once the money stops for them you will have no playerbase and be left with nothing but a damaged name.
