They would push higher if they were on a disc priest and would actually contribute more to the runs.
Throw them into some random +12-13 pug and they’d get trashed without playing with those people. They won’t have some evoker rescuing them when they need movement during heavy damage if they play in a pug. They have that evoker when playing in their premades on the other hand.

Respec discipline until you think holy is good again or change class altogether cause you sure as hell ain’t doing yourself any favors with that attitude.

This guy once accused me of incompetence (holy priest player for like 15 years), cause I said “Greater heal” a lot instead of “Heal”, how is it currently called. Apparently it was my fault, that this ability was called “greater heal” for like 10 years before it was changed to “Heal”, but he said something like: “it’s not a greater heal, it’s heal, you know nothing about priests and trolling at this point, reported, discussion over”. So yes, you’re right.

Holy looks good on Normal and Heroic, when you enter Mythic, it becomes below average even with bugged Halo.

Yeah, Archon Halo doesn’t scale well. At the start of the expansion, it did giga damage and healing, but as one increases in ilvl, it doesn’t seem to get better.

Im not gonna sit here and defend Elahra as a person because they have definitely shown that they can be a hypocrite over the years, but in this case they are right. Holy Priest is in a very very bad state right now and those high level groups do indeed have to play around the HPriest to be able to actually do that content.
The highest level an HPriest can comfortably do on their own, without any support is probably 13 ish and thats the lowest of any spec in the game. They just cannot heal through the aoe damage going out while also having to move, and without getting help they do not have any counterplay to that.
And yes, speccing disc or shadow is an option if you want to progress higher but that still does not take away the glaring issues with HPriest.

Just discovered a fun thing when playing disc.
This weeks affix.
It’s an absorb shield on the mob.
Voidweaver talent increases sw:d damage against shields.
1.1+ million atonement aoe healing from casting sw:d on the affix and critting.
Bro. Wdym 1.1+ million healing. Completely busted. Can cast it twice as well.
Meanwhile, holy priests sitting there with sanctify at 1 min cd, healing for like 250-300k per cast.

My next healer will be priest to lvl. How much does the bubble shield absorb? Also the design is from large raids i think. 1 or 2 healers to heal the tanks. The others doing group heals. I understand that every healer must can be used for every contend. I dont like games when there is a meta and only 1 class is welcome. I only play easy content and use LFR.
Now i am playing and gearing my resto druid. I dont like when headless horsemen 2 shot me. No time to heal (if tired) and because i have to learn the class better. But i love my resto build. Only thing i am not sure about is if swiftmend from grove guardians counts for the 4 swiftmends towards tree of life. I havent seen it often happen that i turn into tree of life.
Still nothing for holy priest.
Guess I’m just gonna abandon this season then, I’m soon done with the tier 2 remastered sets and then my sub ends.
Never thought I’d see the day I stop playing this game because of class balancing.
If nothing changes in 11.1 then I guess the rest of the expansion and if nothing for 11.2, I guess I just don’t buy the next expansion at all.
