Why are hardcore servers coming, eh?
for those people
Excellent question!
The answer is, i do not - however, neither do you, and it is not me who wants to enforce those rules on everyone with the excuse that they are “popular”.
Allow me to use an analogy.
You live on an island, along with 1000 other people. Your workplace is on mainland, and you have to take a boat to get there every day, along with everyone else.
Does this mean boating is extremely popular on your island? Or is it simply that lacking other options, you are forced to take that boat every day, despite being seasick?
We do, we watch content creators, play the game, see the hype, understand the repercussions.
Hardcore servers are coming because, and only because, the addon was popular. Blizzard can’t let the most popular playstyle let loose while they can make it better by controlling it server-side.
You are just guessing on the other hand.
As i elaborated above at length, the fact people downloaded the addon does not mean they liked the ruleset. They possibly only liked hardcore, and the addon was the only way.
Problem is: that is wrong on so many level. And to convince everyone (not you, you won’t be convince), no one was talking about the no AH/Trade rule before.
“Oh man, i wish they changed the ruleset for hardcore to be easier” said no one ever
Maybe because you did not ask them.
I’m sorry people can’t discuss with you, your entire argument is based on what you think people would like but didn’t care to voice it. It’s literally how Blizzard lost the community love.
I am not the one who wants to enforce a ruleset on people who never heard of it.
Quite the opposite, you want to enforce a ruleset (AH and TRADE OK) to people who play hardcore the most.
That “ruleset” you mean is normal WOW gameplay that every wow player expects by default.
Yes, normal wow, not hardcore wow gameplay
I’m just understanding by your words that you are refuting that the addon IS hardcore wow. Just a semantic problem I suppose.
The official hardcore server will have thousands of players who never heard of your addon. Therefore, normal wow, just with one life, is what they will expect of “hardcore”.
and they will rechoice that a gigantic community already thought about the ruleset that provides the more fun, how lucky of them
gigantic community already thought about the ruleset that provides the more fun
You have absolutely no idea whether your “gigantic community” thinks the ruleset provides more fun, or thinks of it as necessary evil.
You have absolutely no idea whether your “gigantic community” thinks the ruleset provides more fun, or thinks of it as necessary evil.
Again with the silent crowd that exists only in your head, I wonder how you can denie reality that much.
Provide some proofs of your claim, we already did it with content creators, popularity, loving the ruleset ourself, and looking at the non existent debat before HC servers came.
I’ll stop poking you for now
Provide some proofs of your claim
You are the one who wants to change the status quo, and enforce the addon’s ruleset on everyone on the official servers, claiming people like it.
Therefore, the burden of proof is on you. No proof you presented actually confirms that the rules are popular, as opposed to accepted as necessary evil.
oh boy i cant wait to play with bots and RMT enjoyers
HC hype HC hype

These servers are here because of the hardcore addon community. Period. Changing from that ruleset is a change to where these servers originated form. Using vanilla Era as a baseline for these servers, and claiming everything implemented from the hardcore addon is a “change” is just ignorant. I think you are looking at this the wrong way around. You are basically claiming the initative when it is because of the hardcore addon community we are even here discussing this in the first place. This is actually makes me irritated, considering all the time and effort the founders of this community put into making this happen.
