I am using the HC addon and maybe it is just some kind of bug or cache but when I die and I delete my character. When I go to create a new one with the same name the addon keeps saying I already have 1 death.
Is it a bug? Do I need to wait X time to create a new character with the same name without carrying the previous character’s history?
It must be a bug. Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the addon? If that doesn’t work you need to contact the developers of the addon.
You need to delete the addon file which saves all relevant data to the toons name. You will find it inside the savedvariables folder of that specific character name.
World of Warcraft Install Dir /WTF/Account/ACCOUNTNAME / REALMNAME /CHARNAME /SavedVariables/ADDONNAME .lua
You should be looking for hardcore.lua, but make sure it is the character folder and not the accounts saved variables.
