Headcanon 2: Electric Boogaloo

Neither are titan constructs, but go off.

Dis is our land. TROLL land!

False. Evolving from weapons made by the titans, they’re made for war.

“Titan constructs” and “Twice cursed descendants of a titan construct”/“Distant descendants of titan constructs caused by the corpses getting infected by plant spores” aren’t the same thing.

Such is the power of the titans and their creations. Orcs and humans are designed to take and hold land, typically from one another.

Humans are inclined to holy magics to beat their ancient enemy, the old gods whilst orcs lean to shamanism as beings of the earth.

Orcs naturally deplete the land they hold as they are Breakers, made to desertify the greenery of the Primals whilst humans cultivate land as a means of fortification. In this, they’re doomed to take one another’s territory in perpetuity as the one invades to exploit the land of the other in a constant offense vs defence situation.

And the void lords laugh as the titans’ puppets deplete each other.

Headcanon: Rather than traditional paladins, the pandaren has something called Celestial Warriors. Rarer by far than the paladins, vindicators and blood knights of distant lands, they are nevertheless very powerful, carrying blessings of the Celestials as they see their will done in the people’s defense.

Scattered across the realm, some Celestial Warriors remain at their home temples or guard lesser shrines, while others join the ranks of various clans. However, their allegiance is to the Celestials, first, foremost and always. As a result, for example, during the recent chaos of N’zoth’s eruption into the Vale, many of the Celestial Warriors abruptly left their clans behind to journey to the Vale and do battle in its defense.

There are only two ways to become a Celestial Warrior. You must either be found worthy by an existing member of their ranks, and as such be chosen as their apprentice, or you must be chosen to be taught at the temples themselves.

While some of their number may in particular devote themselves to a single Celestial, they are expected to serve all four.

As a bonus, here’s some old art by my guild master Shuang depicting Sheng Do-Shi, one such Celestial Warrior, who is an NPC we have encountered from time to time.

Thanks to the harsh climate and their Loa, the Drakkari became fanatic about bodily strength, developing a strong warrior culture. When the war with the Scourge began, they turned into fanatical militaristic patriots, Frost King Malakk and the Prophets using propaganda to fuel the trolls’ sense of duty and to increase the war effort.
Everyone was expected to join the armies fighting the Undead and those who were too weak or cowardly were heavily ostracized.

Eventually, their patriotism and sense of duty to the Empire resulted in many of the Drakkari supporting the decision of their Prophets to sacrifice their Loa, believing the Empire to be more important than their Loa. This belief in turn popularized the phrase: “Drakkari Neva Die.”

I had a headcanon on orc tusks, and how they seemed to continue to grow throughout an orc’s life. This was primarily based on the “Old Soldier” cinematic, in which we are shown a very neat comparison between the elder and younger Saurfang in Northrend - the elder sporting a much longer and pointier set of tusks.

The more I looked into it however, the more it appears to come down to the current artist’s impression and preference. Thrall is no youngling anymore, for instance, yet his tusks aren’t particularly long nor sharp in his cinematic appearance of BfA.

So that’s my headcanon stranded, but I felt like sharing it anyway.

Here is one, because I became anoyyed by the Horde Warcampaign;

Gnome tech is actually league’s beyond Goblin tech, no matter how much the Goblins mass-produce their stuff, Gnomes need less then half the time to come up with a counter; the only reason the Goblin tech in BfA won from Gnome tech is the useage of Azerite. Without Azerite, the Gnomes literally out-tech the Goblins without so much as an effort.

The whole Gelbin Mekkatorque vs Jastor Gallywix-shenanigans, in which Jastor won? Its because Gelbin saw it more as a friendly-rivalry, where Jastor was out to try and actual kill Gelbin.

Basicly the Gnomes see their “rivalry” as more of a friendly one, with a few exceptions not withstanding, where as the Goblins see it as a life-or-death-situation due to the Gnomish supremacy in the field of technology.

Related to tusks, small tusks are considered an attractive trait among orc females.

Durotan looked in the direction that Orgrim had indicated and his eyes widened slightly. Orgrim had spoken the truth. Standing tall and straight, her muscles rippling beneath smooth brown skin in the firelight as she reached and sliced a chunk of meat off the roasting talbuk carcass, the female in question seemed to Durotan to be the epitome of all the orcs valued. She moved with the feral grace of one of the wolves, and her tusks were small but sharpened to deadly points. Her long black hair was pulled back in an efficient but attractive braid.

“Who—who is she?” Durotan murmured, his heart already sinking. Surely this magnificent female was a member of another clan. He would have noticed if such a beauty—strong, supple, graceful—had been in his own clan.

get you a girl with small tusks :weary:

Headcanon:

Thrall’s dainty, effeminite tusks would’ve made him the equivalent of a chinless nerd were he not fated to become orc spartacus/moses.

His heroics revolutionised orc social culture and now all orcs lads are kings regardless of their tusks. Of course, they still have to clobber one another over slights of honour.

So Thrall basicly is a hipster?

Nightborne and Blood Elf botanists have been working together since the end of Legion, and are advancing a form of nature magic by way of the arcane, though it’s received a lot of pushback from Cenarion druids since they view it as essentially heretical.

It’s not “dark” druidism, but they still view it as abusing nature’s gifts/offerings.

NB and BElves dgaf though and are starting to unlock shapeshift forms.

Combining the research of the High-Botanist Tel’arn and High-Botanist Freywinn? :stuck_out_tongue:

Draenei and blood elves used to have pretty good relations thanks to the events at the Sunwell, their relationship survived the Horde-Alliance War and the skirmishes afterwards.

However, ever since the War of Thorns and the Burning of Teldrassil, were many individual draenei were involved, relationships have soured to depths not seen before.

This is because of two reasons:

  1. The War of Thorns was for many draenei, reminiscent of what happened to their people on both Argus and more recently the genocide of Draenor.
  2. The blood elves and their leadership kept supporting the obvious dark and genocidal warchief.

Playing Classic. The highborne Millicent Serene who created the Fruit of Fertility that later became corrupted to the Felvine is one of the older nature-by-arcane in recorded history and might the root for the blood elf and nightborne branch of the practice.
