Hey guys. I have a quick question. Is it possible in classic to have numbers of the healing that you do to other players, displayed above their character, in the same way that damage appears above your target?
I don’t think it can be done with the in-game options, since I’ve looked everywhere. Is there an addon or some other solution to have this?
I saw this option yesterday while i was going through the features of the addon “advanced interface options”
I was curious because i’ve seen this thread a few times now, but i haven’t made a healer to try it out yet.
I enabled floating combat text. But that is for your character. Like it displays the healing that I am receiving. But I would like to see the healing that I am doing to other players above their characters in 3D.
Do you need to be a healer or something? I dont have that option.
Also on original vanilla client I had all combat text enabled on my paladin to test this for someone else, you can’t see healing numbers it only shows on the nameplate
Yes that is what we are talking about.
There’s an option on that same page.
But you need the addon.
And then go to interface options > addons to view the config page, not your default interface options.
Try it out and let us know.
There’s a few people on the forums with the same question.
Just read the tooltips carefully and you will find the correct option.
I haven’t tested it myself yet.
I just read on curseforge that the addon does not display healing and shields to allies at the moment, because it is bugged. There is an option that you can check to do that, but it doesn’t save once you exit the menu, thus not working.
Hmm that’s too bad.
Then i’m afraid the current API doesn’t allow it.
They have limited alot of addons that bring QoL.
This might be one of them.
My maxcamera slider also resets every time.
You might be able to see it with a scrolling combat text addon, i don’t remeber how they work for healers, but your damage output is displayed there, might be lucky.
