I think Heirlooms should be removed. They take away the importance of finding gear or creating gear via professions.
If there is no LFD, I don’t want Heirlooms.

TRUE. Completely removes any sense of gear progression…heirlooms are one of the worst things ever added to the game. Just make it an XP buff or something similar to SoM if anything.

They act as a sink for emblems later on, and take a lot of time and effort to muster up a full set of heirlooms, as well as requiring you to have an 80.

Just remove heirlooms, and no buffs either. Levelling should still be fun and not an automated process like Retail. Thanks.
At least heirlooms you can not buy, the buff from SoM you COULD NOT remove. Eww!

Why remove them? Heirlooms makes levelling fun in the sense that it speeds up what can be a rather mundane experience after having done it again, and again, and again - ad nauseam.
Again, heirloom acquisition mandates one to have levelled once already, and require hefty quantities [particularly in early tiers] of emblems to purchase.
Please stop trying to make the levelling experience longer than it needs to be for those of us who put in a bit of effort to purchase a means of alleviating it somewhat.

I think I was too fast in typing. I was not against heirlooms as such only against adding them because I thought they were not originally in Wrath, my bad.
I am on the other hand staunchly against making them into some kind of buff. Because I can leave the heirlooms at the vendor (aka. not buy them), I cannot avoid a SoM type buff.
You’re welcome to your 'looms as long as I’m welcome to my slow levelling, which I enjoy (and yes also the 20th time over).

Two completely different things, mate. LFD wasn’t included in the first patch, but was actually added in later, so it is 100% a Wrath component.
We get it: you want leveling to be slow and a chore, but perhaps one ought to question why these things were added in the first place, eh?

Yea when the “main” raid of the expansion was released, with the main villain.
Point being that LFD wasn’t released straight away, so I would hold your horses a bit as I daresay they’ll relax on the rule a bit once content is added in.

Leveling is a chore, heirlooms speed it up significantly, and people playing alts to max level is very important for 5 man content to function.
I seriously do not understand these constant 5head takes where some clown thinks that the game has to be a chore for everyone, immediately followed by “go play retail,” which has been the ultimate chore simulator for several expacks now.
I you want tedious grinding and daily chores, go play retail. Let wrath be wrath.

Nothing in what devs said suggests it. If they just said “We won’t add LFD immediately because this feature wasn’t there at launch” etc., many ppl would be less upset than they are. But hearing those monkeys muse about “the Spirit of Classic” genuinely worries me about just how out of touch with reality they are.
