Hekili with over 27 million DLs shows how bad this game is

Exactly remove these and youll lose more players then youd gain

Most of the low DPS you encounter is due to people holding CDs way too long instead of just sending them asap.

Like I tanked a key earlier on my paladin or maybe it was my dk, can’t remember which one it was on, and the retri in that key was holding his wings for 3 minutes until I pulled the 2nd boss in freehold, we were clearing packs around it and he was just holding it for 3 minutes straight. It has a 1 min cd.

Thisnis something ive noticed personally doing m+ latley i feel like im doing better using wings on cd then holding it for boss etc

It’s not as if Hekili is the only one (this is not an exhaustive list):-

https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/maxdps-rotation-helper
https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/ovale
https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/herorotation
https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/conflict-rotation-optimizer-conro
https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/rotation-master

That’s excluding all the Weak Auras and Tell Me When profiles.

I love Hekili myself. It’s great when I have to go on some non pala alt which I have no idea how to play. It’s like a tutorial that helps me get to grips with how the class works. Like I have to level my Feral because she has the rare staff that will become a mount form. Back in Legion I did the Mage Tower challenge on her but now she rarely sees the light of day.

Or using them too early. Resulting in not enough uptime because you just got screwed by the encounter either by randomness or something you knew would happen but you still chose to use our 20sec CD of which you could use 4sec of before you had to move/stop dps.

Generally ye. Ofc one still has to take an educated guess whether or not its worth holding a CD in the end or not as far as the overall timer is concerned.

Lol MoP where hunters had a single macro for all abilities bound to one key

I do think some of the classes have button bloat and that some of the specs are some what complex but overall I belive the design is fine. Only other point I do agree with is the FOMO for classes. This just needs to go away and fast. Players should be allowed to create whatever class or spec they want to play into the fantasy and not worry about being left behind.

This is exactly what happens in pugs who do not know the route. After every pack people wonder when they are going for the boss. And then the tank pulls again another trashpack.

Dbm exists that must mean dungeons are too hard too

I wish this addon would be baned.

Dbm? Really?

No, I wasn’t replying to you. If I did let me know ill fix it.

I mean the addon in general is fine. Its people that take the addon at face value that is the problem.
And thats something the dev pointed out. It cant react to certain things throughout the encounter.

Or also cases where it does it so fast that youre better off reacting on your own then reacting to the instant change in the addon, scrapping your previously intended rotation and having to read the “new” rotation and have your brain realize that and then use that new one rather than just reacting by muscle memory and experience.

I mean u ever done a raid or m+ without dbm? real game changer. Dungs/raids were designed around dbm iirc one of wow devs stated but recently they busy toning down the necessity dbm/wa

There is probably an addon for most aspects of the game.

DBM becomes background noise a couple pulls in. Always has been like this.

And Blizzard can attack both DBM and WA the moment their interface stops being a clunky mess. Their “edit mode” is horrendous. Yay great I can move my Debuff Bar. I still cant seperate them, track certain debuffs and have to still look at that Hero debuff I couldnt care less about no matter how I hard I try. Same goes for Buffs etc.

Or people are just too impatient and dont wanna waste time trying to learn something new and wanna get decent results from the get go.

Specs have a lot of “levels” you can play them at, and a lot of people probably dont wanna be like “uhhhh duuhhh don’t know what button i have to press”, building muscle memory and actually playing the spec into a dungeon is a way better teacher compared to reading a guide and by the time you got to the dungeon you forgot half the rotations.

I would say a combination of both. There can always be something you didnt pay attention to that could up your performance by varying degrees. With guides obviously not referring to Hekili.

If there was a cybernetic device that went on people’s hands and it moved their fingers and pressed all the buttons for them, people would buy it, use and say “It’s still my fingers pressing the buttons!”

Was next comment down doesnt show so i just assumed
