Probably due to external factors that have nothing to do with it having only 6 buttons
Like brand recognition.
Hype build up.
Actual positive reception of a larger portion of the diablo community.
I donât think Retailâs class design is that bad; but I do feel like there is a big disparity between those that have it good and those that have it bad.
Speaking as someone whose spec was just literally shadowlands copypasted (prot paladin), we had a rework and its just great now, no complaints whatsoever
The build is fun and feels powerful and more importantly I feel very distinct from the other tanks in the playstyle which is something I hope all tanks will get in the future.
Personally I hate low button playstyles, For my DPS Dracthyr my brain is sometimes actively searching for a non existant 4th button to press in the rotation where itâs 3 single target attacks and 3 aoe attacks and I find myself just pressing nothing for a good few seconds before realizing oh no these buttons were really all my rotational buttons
Yeah sure. I havent said it isnt. Iâve actually stated the same in an earlier post. Just saying that a combination of both will yield better results. Unless your choice of guide is noxxic.
Almost my entire right arm is a mess from weight lifting and WoW. Ruined elbow tendon, wrist and Iâve got thumb issues from MMO mouse claw grip. Iâd get an entirely cybernetic arm if I could.
Plus its a different game design as a whole. And its an excellent single player. And in the end people just end up oneshotting everything in existence anyway.
I mean sometimes even Wowhead authors seems to write down thing, just cause they have.
Prefer discord class debate honestly.
It was not the point of the argument tho. The addon does not press anything for you, in fact it requires you to actually constantly keep an eye on it, especially on super spammy/gcd locked classes, actually taking away your focus from other things the less you know the class.
Its just a ârotational guideâ that can actually be used when you need it, instead of reading a page and forget half the things while trying to practice.
Is not a matter of playing the game for you but a matter of having the guide right when you need it.
Many of the wowhead authors are also present on the class discord. I think the guy responsible for the assa section is from WoWhead as far as the rogue one is concerned. We also have someone from Method or Echo crawling around but I forgot his name.
Then again the Rogue discord gets updated so fast you better check with it daily just in case someone found something new that then gets tested asap by the discord like their life depends on it.
And this shows what a massive failure modern WoW is?
440 million times is insane. How do you bring up this number, and think this is a good defense of WoW?
Even worse, how do you not see the distinction between an addon that helps you master the insanely complex encounters Blizzard throws at the playerbase (that basically de facto require addons), and an addon that just masters your rotation? Something you should never ever require an addon to do.
People in this thread really do be believing that like 50 % of the playerbase is doing +20s. Completely out of touch with reality and the available data we have. (Yeah this was hyperbole, which I sadly have to point out because we are on the WoW message boards).
They are both not doing what you just typed though.
I am fine with discussing explicit examples that are too hard. But you are just looking at a helper addon and make a conclusion⌠Just the existence of guides does not make things complex by definition. I mean⌠give a real example?
Im split as far as their authors are concerned. Im fine with some doing the guides but im completely opposed to anyone of them involved in their âranking lists week Xâ poop.
They dont. The only one that ârequiresâ one this Tier would be Neltharion Mythic. And even that is up for debate.
The addon, not even remotely, masters your rotation.
I think it´s fine. trying it now and it´s no different to a guide online on rotations.
now, keep in mind that these rotations are optional, I don´t use everything that ConRo tells me to use because of the situations and I use my intuition.
At the end of the day itâs a high SEO value format that people are likely to click on. Best we can do as writers is put detailed analysis that outlines the caveats of the format and is actually useful to the people who click on it and read further.
Personally I hate tier lists, but given their engagement metrics even if you assume 1/10 people at most actually read what you put down besides the chart then that info is still reaching more people than if you wrote just the article itselfâŚ
