Hellfire Peninsula PvP Towers

So for some servers like Firemaw where Horde are very few and far between, people have resorted to either 2nd accounts or have level 1 Hordes cap the towers in Hellfire Peninsula for then the Alliance to recap for the 1800 honor a day.

Some players however are killing the horde trying to do this. The end up getting a shedload of abuse and reports.

My question is.

Is killing the Horde on a PvP server in a PvP specific zone reportable or in breach of any ToS. Also is this tower flipping by using Horde to complete the daily PvP quest considered win trading and against ToS?

Thoughts are welcome

No. It’s a prick move, but no.

Alot of people are false reporting the people doing it then.

Would be good to see some response from Blizzard to lay down the specific rules in regards to it. Is it griefing, is it not.

Hellfire is as far as I know not a part of the Classic landscape, so please … All topics and threads treating Wrath Classic be it Queues, DKs, Heirlooms, Jouous Journey buff, RDF or not … please go to the https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/c/wow-classic/wrath-of-the-lich-king-classic-discussion/288

I for once agree with you.

Just write a ticket if you get banned so all the people falsely reporting you should be banned instead.

People are receiving behaviour warnings in regards to this and the mass reports. Blizzard really need to clarify on this.

i cant remember specifically the tos but i remember a big deal being made about the griefing clause during vanilla classic. Was a while ago though but they basically said its down to their discretion whether it meets the requirement to be considered activly dening players the ability to play the game.

i think its not applicable here though, it wasn’t for world pvp i think it was related to early days where people just hard camped quest givers etc in low level towns. Which would make a lot more sense.

I like the quote above though, red means dead. I don’t think a daily quest for honour would meet the threshold. Seems unreasonable. On a pve server if your guild is actively griefing level 60-63 for hours on end day after day they may take action though.

would be nice for blizzard to do a blue post about what is acceptable and what isn’t though (like give us some examples blizz plz)

Having same issue on mirage raceway seems a possibly new transferred alliance guild camping days on end. Means the alliance cannot do the the quest to get towers as they have them already! Horde cannot get it back being corpse camped. Horde q giver is bugged not seeing the blue quest above him, or is dead. Was peaceful ppl capping towers and odd pvp as normal until last week…:frowning:

No. The daily quest for the towers are extremely poorly designed. Optimal play is like we do on HW. We have both factions (and you need PvP enabled to cap) is to just wait for the opposing faction, because you want to cap the other two as well (and not be rude to your own faction members). I want my 1900 honor and move on. Everyone else wants that too. Even though it’s supposedly some PvP objective you’re really just preventing players of your own faction from capping by killing the enemy faction.

I also don’t like it, but it is what it is. Sadly. This really is one of those poor design philosophies that people just weren’t aware of until after Cata or so. Remember the win-trade in Tol Barad?
