I like Alliance and I like elves so I have to choose between night and void elves for a female hunter.
Night elves - I like their starting zone, the archers in Warcraft III, ancient race, rich lore
Void elves - Telogrus Rift has a cool space vibe but it’s quite small, the Windrunner sisters, better hairstyles, the race feels a bit out of place
Mechanic wise, the Night Elves have a panic button in the form of Shadowmeld
As a hunter you already will have Feign Death (and play dead for your pet, don’t forget to buy that skill book, like Fetch to send them loot for you) - and Turtle of course
BUT there is no such thing as “enough panic button”
Depends on your tase, really
With the costumizations, you don’t have to be a “void” void elf per se; High Elven Ranger also could fly and Telogrus is just a place to chill with the remnant of your race
Racials and such on the grand scheme of things are not of concern (I know, I know, Shadowmeld is a racial…) if you are not in the very upper echelon of that less than 1% where it matters, so feel free to pick what your little dark heart prefer!
Make one of each with the looks you want - check how they look like in sets/transmogs, and then decide.
Based on your description, you should play night elf, because you obviously seem to like them more bro
I vote Night Elf, seems more fitting
I would say night elf, but if you want you can make the void elf to look as a “normal” high elf, so you can roleplay to pretend you are a ranger from the Silver Covenant, or from one of the loyal lodges placed around in the northern Eastern Kingdoms
Do you sometimes fart furiously under the covers… and then stick your head under the covers?
If the answer is “yes”… go for Void Elf.
If “no” - Night Elf.
I laughed out loud at that.
Love the comparison
…Yes…
How else am I gonna rate it?
Well, Night elves are an amazing fit. They’re pretty, they have an awesome racial in the form of shadowmeld. You might have trouble transmogging them as for whatever reason the new model just has tons of mogs that don’t fit them at all. Shoulders floating over and way bigger than they should be are some of the biggest offenders, for example.
Void elves are represented less as hunters though they look awesome, transmog looks like it was actually made for their race, you can also… let’s say cosplay a high elf who are closer to the windrunner sisters, for example.
Racial is weird but has some uses, also nobody ever seems to notice it if you send it the opposite way of where you are running if you pvp.
*Keep in mind both are for the female races
Night Elves are the master race.
Puny lesser elves are not worth the pick.
if u want voidelf go bloodelf
Not a huge fan of Orgrimar…
But then the choice of blood elf or a nightborne.
i mean if u want that belf/velf body i think belfs are better as hunters with both aesthetic and lore style
If you like Alliance go for Night Elf, because Void are kinda sus thing you know. Yes they are with Alliance but it’s not a long term union compared to night elves.
But…if you wanna be cool, go for Night…Nightborne, ancient elven elite, rich lore
Also I wonder if you gonna make male or female because that would make a large difference in choice.
Void elves master race. I pref my benefit of only paying half the price on transmogs n the glorious tentacle hair
Aren’t velves just a lazy copy of belves?
Real men go male draenei hunters for that sweet sweet gun reload animation.
The Night Elf will be stronger in combat. Well, slightly anyway. But I always say: WoW’s balance is always imperfect (to put it mildly) and if you join the FotM-reroll club you’ll never get comfortable with anything, and anybody who likes their character will play it far more than anybody who doesn’t, so play what resonates.
Interesting! I didn’t know that. Only male draenei do this? What about lightforged?
