My compliments to the artist!

ᚠ (the Fehu Rune, letter F) with the original meaning of “money, cattle, wealth”, and also represents the god Frey.

The second rune I do not recognise.

ᛒ (the Berkanan Rune, letter B) means ‘‘Birch’’.

ᛏ (The Teiwaz Rune, letter T) is named after and represents the god Týr.

Moridunum Manaleaf, being an ancient Highborne from before the Sundering, has always used his family crest; a Arcane-infused leaf falling down, leaving behind a trial of “sparkles”, while a silver full Moon is on the background.

The leaf is to show their proud Highborne legacy, and to show that in the early days, his family held both Nature and Arcane in high regard, while the Moon background symbolizes the family’s commitment and reverance to the Mother Moon, Elune.

Ofcourse that changed when the family went full Arcane under Queen Azshara’s reign, but his family crest never changed! Before the Sundering the Manaleaf Household’s servants and slaves would simply wear a falling purple leaf on their clothing, to show their alignment with his house and the simple falling leave is mostly used to sign documents quickly.

When he joined the Shen’dralar; he would often wear their Tabard over his clothing, so show he’s a member of Queen Azshara’s most revered Arcanist organisation!

Matheson much like other soldiers in the regiment uses three forms of identification on his uniform, all three of which are unique to the 2nd Foot.

First is his rank slide, which denotes his paygrade, being the sergeant OR-6 grade. This is sewn over his breastbone on his coat, directly above the Stormwind lion:

Second is his company insignia, which ascribes him one of the nine companies in his regiment, being Allerian (grenadiers), Bolvar/Chillwind/Dragon/Elwynn/Farshire (line), Gryphon (light/rifles), or Highbank/Ignaeus (reserves). As Matheson is part of 2nd Platoon, D(ragon) Company, his company insignia is a dragon:

Finally his regimental TRF or tactical recognition flash, which allows other soldiers to see at a glance which regiment he is part of. The TRF is a smaller variant of the regimental colour which is the unit’s battle standard. It is marked with the regimental number (2nd Foot = II) and includes the royal cipher (golden lion) in the top left. As the regiment was raised originally as the Abbot of Northshire’s regiment during the Gnoll War, the regimental icon is a white cross. This is also why the company dragon and the soldiers’ rank slides are all in white instead of gold. As with other regiments of the line, the 2nd also has its battle honours embroidered into the colour - all of which were earned in-character on various Footman tours since 2017.

This is the de facto emblem of the Eredun Lullaby, seeing IC use through hidden items and what not.

The Eye of Providence (and variants thereof, including the Eye of Dalaran, below) also serve as identification.

It’s important to stress that these are intended more as sigils than proper arms; the group doesn’t adhere to heraldic traditions, seeing them more on the official, aristocratic side of things instead.

I  like  these  threads

Horde/House (Shalassian): Unlike most of her kin, Alryette still prefers to wear the colours of the Nightfallen Resistance. While she does have an ‘official’ tabard of Suramar’s new ensign, she refuses to wear it. Instead she keeps the surcoat from the insurgency and prefers to wear it when she’s working outside of her guild’s tasks. To her the Rebellion is more important than Suramar’s new ‘unity,’ and not simply for her distrust in authority figures; those in power may change or stay the same, but it is up to those below them to ensure that they act in the best interest of their people.

While she’s technically been a member of two Houses, she flies neither of their colours officially.

Guild: The Twin Snakes of the Sisterhood of the Serpent, of course! While her personal sigil holds a place in legend as a keeper of secrets, it is the Snake that taught her how to truly hunt from the shadows. While at times she disagrees or questions her aims she adheres incredibly strictly to its teachings. She wears this particular tabard proudly and often in public. Unlike her Nightfallen surcoat she’s actually modified this one slightly, lining it with leather and thicker hide in particular places she can’t adequately defend.

Personal: Alryette has several symbols that are incredibly personal to her. Like other Shal’dorei (or SHALDOREI to appease the tree elves >.>) she has her own arcanic tattoos etched across her body. During her time as a student of magic she took this to an incredible extreme and designed her own multi-purpose transmutation circle which is etched across her stomach. Additionally she had several runes of power to improve her mana-flow across her back but these have since been effaced or ruined by injuries.

As of more recently she has taken to wearing a Crow-like belt buckle for several reasons. Originally it was a Duskwatch-issued belt belonging to her mother, thus having a sentimental value to her. It being rather carrionesque in it’s beaten up and tarnished state she rather identifies with it, both her legal and nicknames giving allusion to the bird of mysteries. She also wears it to openly mock the Duskwatch for their rather bent view of the law and justice.

I mean, come on. If a sassy elfling can wear your things BETTER than your issued officers, you can’t expect much from the Watch. :stuck_out_tongue:
