they should all be available. it’s literally locked content on a game that we pay monthly fee. don’t care if you were there back in 2004 , if it’s not obtainable, remove it from everyone else <3 i’m sure i could play as good as a vanilla player if that challenge was still active . timewalking weeks should re-introduce things like that , it could revive the dead zones too.

Look, many people are being sarcastic but it will take very little effort into putting HUGE contents that were removed from the game that would serve real enjoyment in many players for the simple fact that we got a content draught every patch, and more content is… more content.
The only unhappy guys are going to be those who are with snowflake personality.
Its been so long, 90% of these Scarab Lords aint playing.
Would literally upset a little 3 people and benefit more than 10 000 for Scarab Lord quest line, Old Naxxrammas, and other fun stuff to be added BACK into the game.
I play wow for 16 years, i always felt repulsed by the removal of content.

Actually you’re not paying for 2004 content. You’re paying a monthly fee for access to the game in its current form today. Thats what the monthly fee is for.
I’m sure these events will come around on Classic again.

well i’m paying for world of warcraft and they said all previous expansions are included to subscription so yes i am paying for 2004 content too. i don’t care about classic since i won’t be able to transfer it from there to retail.

that’s kind of the point of Classic.
It’s there so you can go and relive the experience without disrupting retail.
Anyway, you can relive the event here:
i don’t want to relive anything since i haven’t lived it in the first place, i don’t see the reasoning behind why is this not obtainable in any way on retail ? most of the players who played back then are already left and some of them went to classic and keep thrashing retail so those players deserve that reward just because they are older ? there are unlocked contents too, i can obtain shadowmourne but not corrupted ashbringer , why ? none of it makes sense tbh.

I think these kind of events served a purpose. they created an exciting community event in a living world as the game progressed from era to era. And was a truly exciting simply for being part of the event at that time.
There is no real purpose to bring them back because the excitement of being part of something is gone, that something is gone, it happened.
I imagine it’s like turning up to a Festival after the event has finished and there is to do is the clean up.
What I’m trying to say is that there is no content there. The content was being part of the community at that given time.
Call of the Scarab micro-holiday serves as a fair replacement for those who want to see what the event was about.
I honestly miss them and wish they would put more into the game other than just pre-patch events and the upcoming Diablo 4 launch event.
well this is called gatekeeping content.
there’s no real purpose to not bring them either. last week i farmed torghast mounts but i can’t farm scarab lord, why ? there’s literally no reason to not let new players farm old content it’s not a hub based mmo. the content is still there i don’t care about any events they can add them to timewalking like i said. no need to lock them behind.

They don’t need to add it to Time-walking because they have already made an Micro-holiday for it. The event is there! Take part in it.
Scarab Lord wasn’t something you farmed at the event. It was just given to the person who hit the Gong 2 raid tiers later when Burning Crusade was launched.
I don’t think you really realise what an underwealming event it will be.
My honestly advice to you is just to concentrate on what’s available in the game today, and focus on the current events. Rather than raising that blood pressure over another time.
i’m paying for a half game then ? i still don’t see any reason why old things should not be available for new players to farm . why would people want to start playing wow if they’re not gonna be able to play the whole game and the reason behind is ‘‘old players get grumpy’’ i hope they either add every locked award to timewalking or trading post at some point.

Shush it already, you cant even structure a proper argument.
If we follow your logic, we shouldnt be able to farm for transmogs and mounts from older content, we wont have mage tower and etc.
The excitement is still very much there, I would for one be mega- hyped for Scarab Lord if its simply obtainable, it can still be hard to get.
Another point of view is that
Chances are that the mount will be given in a future Trading Post.
A well as Atiesh, we already datamined it.
So its going to happen anyway the question is, why not retain the excitement and simply put the event out there, so for those who want it, have to go through with it instead of it being a Trading Post reward, because im sure both the mount and Atiesh are going to be Trading Post rewards.
Gatekeeping kills wow, it kills fun.
Especially for things that are long overparty like Scarab Lord, Ashbringer, Atiesh, Mage Tower cat forms, etc.

No, you’re getting exactly what you’re paying for.
You bought Dragonflight, you get access to the current content and challenges for the 2 year period that it’s there for.
You pay a Sub, that gives to access to the games servers, the Classic servers, regular updates and covers the cost of server maintenance.
You are able to take part in the whole game. The game is in Dragonflight!
The past of the game is there to go back and explore. But the game and the game play is in Dragon Flight.

It’s really sad that it keeps coming up and it’s always the same people making the same points.
The thing is, it’s never the people who actually play the game. It’s just people who want to farm old content because the game is too hard for them.

sub includes old expansions so i pay for the vanilla content too.
i payed for dragonflight yes and i’m getting %100 out of it but i’m also paying for older content but don’t get the whole of it.
EVERYTHING should be obtainable in current version of retail , this includes mage tower rewards too. you still can’t give any proper reason why i shouldn’t be able to get old stuff
i do both. i pay for both and i want to be able to get %100 out of both. classic is only there to experience old version of the maps if i want to(and i did) the rest is still in the game but locked.
