What date is it on?

The Burial of Thane Grahda Stormheart = > *"Blessed be those who walk in yer footsteps, son o’ tae mountain,* > *Blessed be those who fly at yer tailfeathers, brother o’ tae skies.* > *Blessed by ye, father o’ yer kin of Stormheart, firehearted lad,* > *Blessed by ye, friend to all tae Highlands, from Thunderstrike to where tae southern peak lies."* - **Galvrin Stormheart**

A day of mourning, remembrance and celebration to the passing of Thane Grahda Stormheart. His silk-wrapped body was met with a large gathering of both family and friends, both old and new alike. He forwarded the march, carried high atop a gilded, ceremonial stretcher. Brega, Grahda’s majestic Razorbeak was waiting within the roost of Kirthaven, upon the strapping of the stretcher, he had the great honour of granting our Thane a last ride; atop Thunderstrike Mountain we would gather.

“Tae Thane is dead… Long live tae Thane!” - Grongul Stormheart

A magnificent flock mustered between the many nests of the roost, each and every single guest was paired and saddled with one of Wildhammer’s very own stock. And upon the words of Haelga Stormheart, they ascended, high up within the westerly gale of the Highlands, their wings flapping in unison churned the air like that of a hurricane. Such a flock hadn’t been sighted in the skies of Northeron for an age - it would’ve surely struck fear in to the heart of any foe of Wildhammer, cowering beyond the surge of the great Verrall river to the south.

"Ta winds carry forth nae gentle song,
Tis a forthcoming gale, ta call has rung,
Deeps roots link ta kin o’ both rock n’ sky,
Lo there do I see ta storm gather nigh,

No quarrel is given between beast n’ I,
As we ascend within these clouds so high,
Ta find nae foe within this thunderous air,
That can match our might, enemies beware,

For these Highlands be our most sacred o’ home,
And we’ll fight till our last, let it be known,
That those o’ Wildhammer will never falter,

-Never waver-,

Our ties with this land ever strong,
And we’ll save her."
- Grahda’s Poem, Performed by Tharragh Longbeard

And so the great host gathered atop the summit of Thunderstrike Mountain, the ceremony was lead by the Elder Shaman, Galvrin Stormheart - brother to the late Thane. He walked first, the last few steps towards the great graveyard of our forebears, leading after was Grahda and his four bearers, Olgrynn Stormheart, Grongul Stormheart, Mairede Thunderfist and Molrik Whitebeard. He was settled beside his mighty grave, already dug as the proceedings continued in both blessing and honouring his legacy.

“He was foremost a dutiful son.
Foremost a caring brother.
Foremost a loving father.
Foremost a devoted husband.
Fer which I shall consider myself forever blessed.”
- Haelga Stormheart

After the blessings from Galvrin Stormheart, the shared words from the likes of Haelga Stormheart, Grongul Stormheart, Dwumlir Forlornstone and Oginn Stormclaw. Grahda was then lowered within his lasting resting place. It was then gifts where bestowed, offered down upon his grave whilst he was then buried. Gifts given from The Hammerguard, The League of Modimus, The Greyhawk Paratroopers and more.

The large gathering then slowly began to depart over time, whilst some stayed a little while longer to offer their prayers upon Grahda’s grave, or to give their condolences to the widowed Haelga.

Back within the comforts of Kirthaven, Thane Grahda was celebrated through much needed revelry, story and games! Many-an-ale was drunk, whilst despite many ‘heroic attempts’, Thumper’s Horn was not bested this night!

Overall, it was a fantastic turnout for the greatly loved Thane, on behalf of Clan Stormheart I’d just like to thank everyone who stopped by to attend, he couldn’t have had a better send off.

Thank you so much for having us, the guild loved both the days of ceremony! We were quite immersed during the naming of the successor. It was awesome

Despite all that’s happened surrounding the Stormheart family lately, our wrangling / breeding of the Razorbeak hasn’t stopped!

Our roost is getting -full- my friends, we’ve got -SIX- Razorbeak on standby and awaiting their new forever homes. Why don’t you drop us a message and swing by Kirthaven?! We’ll do you a swell deal on a new set of wings!

Might even throw in a free saddle…

Don’t be shy, we’re open for business and looking for custom!

Recruitment!

Whilst we’re back within the comforts of Kirthaven, we’re in no better position to be able to enroll new folk in to our flock!

So if you’ve ever had that need for in-depth, quality Wildhammer RP and wanted a place to try it out? Clan Stormheart are more than welcoming to new and old RPers alike.

So pick up your Stormhammer and get yourself saddled, come down to Kirthaven and see what we’re about!

Winds guide, m’kin!

Khuzan has swiftly decided to stick around Clan Stormheart for a little while, to see what shenanigans they’re up to! I hear they’ve a wee bone to pick with the Dragonmaw, let us hope for a nice, slow and painful resolution for those pesky tusk-tooth menaces.

A dangerously delightful guild. At present a few of the Circle are adventuring with the Dwarves, working together for a shared purpose!

Whilst trying not to get cut in half by Dragonmaw…good times for all!

I contacted Clan Stormheart with the hopes of advancing a storyline via even a little bit of roleplay at the Clan’s grounds… what I ended up with was a thrilling event DM’d by the amazing Grongul!

I enjoyed my time immensely and I can only hope there is lots more co-operation to be done with this Clan. I can wholeheartedly recommend joining them or reaching out to them :sparkles:
