I’d like to officially pay my respects to the void elves
Now that they’re seemingly adding high elf options to them, they’re effectively dead in the water (in regards to the RP community) as nine out of ten people only even played the race while they had a whine on the forums / Twitter hoping that one day they’d get their near enough dead race. They will in fact now become extinct overnight and we’ll instead have a gargantuan influx of high elves that doesn’t represent their number in lore at all
Alas, all of my time tugging the noses of whiny high elf advocates… for nothing…

I wish Blood Elves received Dark Ranger customisation to compensate for unique options, especially with Velonara reaffirming her loyalty to the Horde/Forsaken/Silvermoon in the aftermath of 8.3. It took 14~ years for blue eyes so maybe in 2034?

I echo the above posters. It’s nice that we finally have the proper Helf customization in-game, but it’s also a bit of a shame Void elves will now essentially cease to exist in RP barring a few exceptions. I salute you, Void Elf RPers

This is great if you ask me. They managed to give both sides of the argument what they wanted.
I just wish they’d let Void Elves be Paladins too so I can have the High Elf Paladin I’d like, but that’s asking too much since they’re still Void Elves.
Big mistake, honestly. The entire point of belfs was to balance the population of the factions; God knows how many times I’ve heard elf gamers on the Horde bang on about how they wish they were Alliance, and now there’ll be nothing holding them back.
I’m thinking that Yue might become Tushui in Shadowlands so I can actually find a raiding guild since the Horde’s population is about to get hit hard.

Oh come on. You really think all the Blood Elf players are going to evacuate to the Alliance en-masse? You’re panicking over something that won’t happen. Plus they are still Void Elves. They can’t be Demon Hunters or Paladins.
Horde is and always will be the go-to faction for dedicated PvEers. I doubt you’ll see a dent.
