Keep living in your childish illusion that High Elves are a different race then.
Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t the whole mastering the void quest line with the demon hunters in K’aresh see us infuse a Blood Elf with void energies? Then we end up taking them on in Mana Forge Omega in the form of “The Soul Hunters” encounter, Adarus Duskblade being the Blood Elf that infused himself with the void?
I took a break from reading this thread, and I guess not much has changed.
Whether they’re different race or not is not what it was about.
It’s whether they’re different enough, which they absolutely are. Seeing as we have several identical races on both Factions, they’d already provide far more flavor and nuance than Dracthyr and Earthen, or even Pandaren.
Having playable Alliance high elves wouldn’t affect anyone negatively. They’d add a lot to the universe, and give Blood Elves a natural contrast, which can be built on. (as it has been built by Blizzard for several expansions already).
I find it amusing that we’re called obsessive, childish and all kinds of other insults - meanwhile, the lot of you are here typing out pages and pages of nonsensical anti-helf rhetoric.
We don’t have high elves from blood elves - blood elves are blood elves, void elves are void elves.
We want the real deal.
We don’t want to become living vessels of void every 10 seconds of combat.
We don’t want to be a part of the Horde.
We want to be normal high elves on Alliance.
It can be implemented easily (as many have already stated) through glyphs and/or like the Eredar skin for Draenei (changing Blessing of the Naaru), even better if we can change our name from Void Elf to High Elf. It’s not that complicated.
It’s NOT a big deal. Take a step back and get some perspective and think about what it is you’re actually opposing, It makes no sense.
He gets fused with the void and the other 2 DHs with him is a belf and night elf. He also promised to teach the void elf the power of illidari during it.

So they set the path for velf, belf and nelf getting devourer in a sense.
Edit: I saw the question was answered, ignore this please ![]()
Came home after the late shift, opened a cold one, did a little trawling in this thread. tl;dr?
Xyraxes, Linir and Amora - for the love of the Sunwell, make your own thread and curate the narrative. OP is stirring sh*t and letting you three do the heavy lifting in between.
Not really no. And again for the sake of your argument you ignore the fact the three races you constantly mention start of as Neutral and Core part of them REMAINS Neutral. This does not apply to Thalassian Elves that Started Off as a Core Horde Race. Adding High Elves effectively turn the entirety of the Race Neutral in it’s core. Which means Horde is down one Core Race in this exchange and gets nothing in return. In order to avoid that Blizzard would need to invent extra lore to effectively make High Elves significantly more different than Blood Elves. Something they already did once and the result are Void Elves.
High Elves already exist on the Alliance side, just need to be playable, which is the request.
Void Elves are just void infused Blood Elves.
Make your own thread, mate.
OP is rhetorical poison.
How interesting you only cherry pick what the OP said and ignored the rest. Thank you for the concern.
It’s been twenty years. Take the hint. The US has been in and out of both Afghanistan and Iraq in the time you’ve been arguing for this it has been that long.
Ok. Fine.
When have I done the same?
Edit: To be clear, I went less than 48 hours back in time. That’s seven instances in less than two days. And I skipped the more harmless tirades.
And the request is not going anywhere take the hint.
Yes I know, you are welcome for my service.
I didn’t acuse you of doing the same. I suggested to have a look at the abuse hurled at the OP, not only on this thread.
And since this is not the topic Im here to discuss, I’ll move on.
One person.
Seven instances.
Less than two days.
Be better. If you want this narrative to ever find its footing, dislodging the dead weight of a deconstructive author is step uno.
WHY?
- High elves arrived in the Eastern Kingdoms around 6,800–7,300 years before the Dark Portal
- High elves joined the Alliance of Lordaeron reluctantly during the Second War (years 4–6 ADP, 600–602 by King’s Calendar)
- High elves seceded shortly after the war’s end (~years 7–10 ADP), blaming the Alliance for failing to protect their borders from Horde attacks (e.g., Eversong Woods burned by red dragons)
- This formal membership lasted only ~3–6 years (Second War duration plus brief aftermath)
Vanilla : no HE content
Tbc : no HE content
Wotlk : no HE content except Silver Covenant keeping alliance quarter
Cataclysm : no HE content
MoP : no HE content except dalaran purge
WoD : No HE content
Legion : No HE content
…
etc… HE content is almost non-existent
Alliance did :
- the human prince slain us
- Garithos
- Jaina did a genocid against elves
- Lorewise, humans and dwarves mock us saying we look like swines and donkeys
- There is no HE leader in any alliance council or other. HE are just used as pets or house elves like in Harry Potter. Each time Dalaran was there they never put any High Elf mage in council or anything else.
Blood elves since day one of TbC to now are lorewise in the horde for ~16 years and everything is perfect.
Why do you want to be in the alliance? because of blue colour and maybe do you think quel’dorei are like tolkien’s elves ?
~7000 years as independant elves
in the alliance for only ~3 years, troubles at the end and humankind deception
16 years in the horde and we are a strong people with a voice in the council of the horde.
spoilers alert we are not tolkien elves.
Actually if we want to be accurate they started as a non-playable Alliance aligned race.
So by this rethoric one could argue that adding the blood elves to Horde was a mistake on Blizzard’s part.
Yeah but the thing is you seem to think that if you keep asking loudly enough for long enough you’ll get them. I knew folks who said the same thing a decade ago.
The fact they’ve said no for twenty years indicates they’ve managed to tune you out. After all if not now, when?
And you should thank me for my service. I and the others debating you are the only ones listening to you without groaning.
And the orcish horde and trolls invaded and slaughtered the elves.
You forget to mention that the Alliance of Lordearon is not the same as the Alliance of Stormwind
The same goes for the different iterations of the Horde.
- not the same horde
- absolutely not the same trolls
and you know it we already talk about that.
talking about trolls show how much you have lack of knowledge.
Amani are enemies of darkspears and zandalari trolls.
