High Elves in 12.1 šŸ’™

Humans of Stormwind including Anduin Lothar and Prince Varian Wrynn were the Part of the Alliance of Lordaeron. Physical City has fallen by due to survival of the Prince the kingdom was kept alive. Hell they, Dalaran and Lordaeron itself were the only kingdoms that Didn’t left the Alliance after the Second War (Something that Gilneas and Kul’Tiras did).

Also High Elves Left the Alliance immediately after the second War. Which was one of the reasons Garrithos’ natural bigotry was that much more severe against the Elves. Yes not every elf left the human lands. Enough stayed in Dalaran and in early stages of Third War decent number of High Elf Priests against the will and order of their King Remained to help humans during the Plague.

Not here to discuss the OP. You should get some rest after your late shift. A good night sleep positively impacts physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Which is a fantastic suggestion that I will now follow. Good night.

you guys prefer, lorewise, be friend with humans and dwarves and reject and spit/hate on the 90% of your race than being blood elves and still have these blue friend in BNET

how crazy is that to self hate his own kind.

Blizzard never stated the actual amount, so it could be more than they let onto. As it was never stated. But that would go back to the numbers argument.

Please, let’s communicate without negativity. I want this thread to have a friendly and pleasant atmospherešŸ™

Furthermore, the fact that you wrote a prohibited word with *** does not negate the fact that you wrote it. Please be mindful of what you write in my thread, and if you cannot control yourself, simply leave. Thank you for your understanding, and best of luck :slightly_smiling_face:

No but we know that whoever stayed and those that were Exiled by Lor’themar made at most 10% of the Surviving Elves after third war. That would mean either majority of the Elves outside Quel’Thalas were residing in Lordaeron and thus died in the Fall of the Kingdom or they were less than 1% of their entire kingdom.

Hello, sweetie, I’m glad you came. Without you, it was boring and very stuffy here. It’s nice to spice up this topic with another beautiful girl :blue_heart:

By the way, did you see that ChatGPT and I drew you?

I won’t disagree with that.
But like I said that all comes down to the idea that numbers are an issue for them to be playable. If we entertain that.*

If we go by the novel Arthas: Rise of the Lich King, there would be about 148000 High Elves remaining, which seems plentiful.

We know that the exiled high elves aligned themselves with the Alliance except a few. Unless I’m overlooking something?

*Edit: Addition of nuance.

Alfiriniel, it doesn’t matter. Not really. This is just layers and layers and layers of debate on the lore side that, while interesting, just detracts from the core problem for you.

They’re not adding the same race to the game on the other side. That’s always been the issue. I’ve come back to this topic on and off for over a decade, I came back this time for a bit because if it were going to happen it would have happened in Midnight even as I rated the chances as exceptionally low.

Fact is they tune you out. If they had any difficulty doing so you’d have succeeded at this years ago.

I mean be honest, what are you actually looking for? Really?

A nameplate change and altered racials. Whilst you believe that isn’t much, neither option for getting there clearly works for them. You either bastardise Void Elves or duplicate a core Horde race. From their perspective, and the fact they’ve made no further movement in nearly a decade on this, you have to know deep down they probably feel they did well enough by you with Void Elves and High Elf like customisations on Void Elves.

The fact that there is so little to go mechanically actually works against you as what little remains to annoy you, is for all practical purposes, completely trivial from any objective perspective. You turn purple every so often. Your nameplate says Void Elf.

So what? It doesn’t justify ruining Void Elves. It doesn’t justify duplicating a core Horde race.

At the end of the day, they’ve pleased the vast majority of players and still preserved the integrity of the Horde faction.

They are looking for a Tooltip saying "High elf " and same racial skills or almost the same.

And they think blizzard will add them.

As I said a moment ago, I have to think they believe that the remaining difference is small enough that they can get Blizzard to bridge it.

The opposite is clearly true, what is left is so small yet compromises Blizzard’s red lines to such an extent that they aren’t taking the request seriously. It’s been years after all with no movement.

I would be happy to slain playable HE with my High Inquisitor of Silvermoon RP

but everyting showed and still shows that blizzard will not add them.

Midnight is the cherry on the top

This is a respectful and down to earth reply.

I returned after my break from Legion, so about 10 years ago.
I am not well versed on what has happened in between.
But if they don’t want to add high elves, additional customization would be a good alternative.
It wouldn’t bastardize the void elves persĆ© as they are also a thalassian elf. So for example, I think more hairstyles and some shared ones between void elves and blood elves would be a nice welcome addition.

Personally: the racial of the void elves or the reverb on their voice doesn’t bother me. I just love the appearance of the model and they are playable on the faction I enjoy most. I got the costumasations to look the part I want to play.

My only complaint is a broader lack of customization on all allied races, the nightborne for example could also use some love (poor example from my side given it’s also an elven race).

If they were going to add them, Midnight would be the time.

If they were going to be patch content, a developer on twitter would not be telling folks to shout for them (though admittedly his response was generic in that the question posed to him was about multiple races suggested). He wouldn’t say a thing.

And unless there is another Quel’thalas set expansion coming in the next few years, then they have no plans to add them. Because I don’t know how more obvious they could make it. If they were EVER going to add them it would be now. Does anyone seriously think they forgot about the request when building Midnight? That it slipped their mind? Or that they were mentioned and they somehow, inexplicably, decided the expansion set in Quel’thalas was somehow wouldn’t make narrative sense?

Rommath : It’s time, High Inquisitor Gabriela. Execute Order 66
Gabriela : It will be done, my Lord.

But I’m gonna spare the elflings, they will be send in blood elves school. But no mercy for half elflings. :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

I believe that I mentioned the only other solution would be Blizzard basically doing a Shadowlands Tier Retcon to differentiate High Elves and give them both shift in Culture, new capital and a Proper Racial leader. But that means giving up the right to previous High Elf culture and heritage. Which likely would not please people

Any further customisations on Void Elves should go the other way. If we are talking on a level shorn of pretense or lore considerations, then an objective observer would say you have plenty of normal options as it is. There are Void Elf players still miffed they don’t have more in the way of tentacles or other void artefacts.

Why not? OP is why we’re here?

You’re here on their premises. Ignoring their transgressions only make them endemic to the topic. A sour fit, as I see it.

I love Cher! By the way, Cher resembles a High Elf, she is so tall, beautiful, and stately :white_heart:

I feel it should go both ways, that’s why unique new hairstyles for void elves would be welcome but for an easy solution, opening up some shared styles between belf and velf. But that’s my personal preference and by no means the rule.
