I did a post on the twitter hoping they can give some info…
Same issue, started pretty much with this (29.04-06.05) reset, randomly getting high world MS when i enter a zone, be it open world or instance.
I did find a solution, kinda, resetting my WoW + bnet clients solves it, but its not pernament, can happen again when i change zones in the same gaming session. Hope it helps
OMG 3 days, same as me! I play in Blitz bg and people are starting to HATE ME! they report me before even the bg begins! blizzard fix it ASAP! like NOW!
I sent bug report hopefully they will listen to us.
People thought I was AFK and trolling them.
Its not even losing the points/rating, its about the principle, I am losing my good name!
This is the answer few min ago after 3tickets about ms issue 5-6 days :Game Master Oyomeunwot here—I completely understand your frustration with the ongoing latency issues. Our development team actively monitors forum reports and server performance 24/7, and they’re already investigating the spikes affecting players like yourself. While they work on backend fixes, here are a few things that might help improve your connection in the meantime:
-
Flush your DNS cache (Command Prompt as Admin > type ipconfig /flushdns)
-
Switch to a wired connection if currently on Wi-Fi
3.Run a pathping test to identify where delays occur:
Open Command Prompt > type pathping logon.worldofwarcraft.com
I have the same problem. There is BIG latency only with Blizzard servers. Everything else is okay. My internet provider said its Blizzard servers problem and cannot do anything about it. Strange thing is that, when i stay in town latency is bit normal but when i enter mythic plus run its HELL…Please do somethign about it Blizzard !
When I played in the US, I would have a latency of 150-200ms, not much more.
Some services being in the US can be fine, mostly account related stuff such as friend lists. That one is, in fact, supposed to be global.
I did have significant troubles about a year ago in Heroes (going to Scandinavia) and also random lags whenever MoPR effects were firing. Mostly in dungeons.
Blizzard uses an infrastructure that limits each instance, processing and traffic.
D3 tends to be affected - certain builds lag because they cause too much processing while others are insta-kick material in parties but work solo.
Point being, there might be some throttling behind it.
getting 6k/7k ms world in epics cant use any button and get killed
the freeze lagspikes and all prevents me from contributing cc/damage to the enemies etc
its more than annoying
Just finished 1 dungeon after 2 days and when I ported back there was a lag in Dornogal again. The lag is so high it affects the real world. A mosquito needed 2 minutes to bite me after he landed on me.
Cmon money grinders, don’t hide in the grass!! Explain yourselves!!
Hi,
Since last friday ( 2nd may) i started experience massive lag when i play. The local ISP confirmed that there is no issue with them. All the addons are up to data as support sugugested but from time to time i reach massive world lag ( 2-7k sometimes) and it is unplayable. Anyone was able to find any solution to that?
Issue started not more than 3-4 days ago. Happens to some of my friends too. The conclusion I have reached is the following:
- There is a routing bug related to Lumen Technologies, which is a global provider. All the ips are 66.40.x.x when the issue happens, so there are probably EU and US ips overlapping, so when you shard you get phased to US server and it becomes unplayable. No local ISP will look into this, the hops happen after you connect to the Blizzard game server and the connection to it is stable and latency is very low.
On a side note I used to have similar issues some years ago with A1 when they were renewing contracts, so game was lagging like this for a week once per year and then it magically fixes itself after contracts get renewed. It is roulette with dungeons. You can’t just relog in a 15 till you get placed in EU server and hope to time it.
So what are we supposed to do? Just wait and hope? Blizzard are not even saying anything they are not even talking to us its sad
2nd week and the game is still unplayable. How long will take for Blizzard to fix the issue? Can’t do even a simple world quest with that much lag.
Aight it startwd again boyz, guess we will not play few days week or even skip few months…i dunno ehat i can say more.
Same I wasted whole day till the raid time trying to figure out. Thankfully nothing happenss when I raid but when I get in a fight in a key or when I hs to Dornogal sudden 3k ms !
Same here from 04/05/2025 until today 08/05/2025 i have been having up to 11k world ms and at times it was steady at 1850 world ms.
This is happening everywhere, at the main hub, in all the areas, in undermine, in delves and in M+.
I noticed that it is happening from 15 hrs ST, no idea about earlier.

One more day with huge random world ms spikes either when logging in or when entring an instance. If bliz is monitoring their forums why there isnt at least an acknowledgement of the issue? Lost 6 days of game time, since i cant do much like this.
This game is complete garbage now and completely unplayable. How once the great Blizzard company fell and now is a third-grade, low quality sh!t company is beyond me. Not worth paying these scammers.
“Fix”: The only Fix I have been able to find for this issue is to pay for a VPN. Since I’ve done that I have not only not continued to have lag spike issues, but my ms has also dropped. For context, I am playing from Greece, my ISP is Nova, when the issue started my ms was in the region of 80-120 ms with spikes taking me to 2-3-5-10k ms before it DCed me and then after a while it would fix itself. I am using a VPN connecting to Germany, I have 0 lag spike issues and my ms is 63 atm. I realise this is not the fix that people want, because what the heck are we paying blizzard for? But it is a fix nonetheless. If you can afford it, do it.
What is also weird is that this seems to be impacting some ISPs but not all. E.g. in Greece Nova is impacted, but not OTE and yet NOVA are claiming that for the node jumps they are responsible for everything is working as intended. I do not understand networking at all so there might be a logical explanation, but with my current knowledge this raised some eyebrows.
I have 4000 ms at the moment and the tech support does not exist. Maybe I should unsubscribe till the issue is fixed…
