Whatever experiment you were trying out with staggering realm announcements didn’t work. Pre-launch guilds naturally decided on and stuck with the earlier announced servers and the servers you pushed them to most fervently and made most convenient (firemaw im looking at you)
So are we going to do something about the 6 hours queu on firemaw? 16.000 and its not going down anytime soon. You promised me firemaw would not be full!?!
It’s currently 12:00 CET. These are the queues on the PvP realms:
Firemaw - 16k (High)
Shazzrah - 14k (High)
Gehennas - 13k (High)
Golemagg - 12k (High)
Mograine - 7k (High)
Razorgore - ~200 (Medium)
Flamelash - 0 (Medium)
Stonespine - 0 (Low)
Noggenfogger - 0 (Low)
The queues on the “original four” - Firemaw, Shazzrah, Gehennas, Golemagg - are big enough to justify a new realm for each of them. Even if people move from the big four to Stonespine and Noggenfogger the latter will get queues in a matter of minutes and you would still have enough for 2-3 more realms. Mograine also seems to be picking up, mainly due to its name. The “problem child” seems to be Firemaw - you, Blizzard, told us to avoid Shazzrah and Golemagg and instead opt for Firemaw, and this is exactly what we did. Now, Firemaw is the new Shazzrah. We can’t just hop between realms every day, y’know.
I spent 3 hours waiting in queue last night and 3 more hours of grinding boars and scorpids. Do I have to do this again on another realm with yet another twisted version of my vanilla main’s name?
If yes, what was even the point of reserving names?
Why didn’t you lock character creation when you saw a realm’s population has beaten its capacity threefold?
Last but not least - what on Earth were you thinking setting up just 4 PvP realms and then setting up 4-5 more hours before the launch or even during the launch? Did you really think that Classic would only get like 200k players global? People are currently betting on 3 million and your quickmaths somehow gave you 200k?! How???
Don’t tell me “it’s like that at every launch” because I’ve been playing WoW for 15 years and I know that it’s not. You F’ed up really, really bad this time, Blizz. You underestimated us so badly that 1/3 of us cannot even reach the character selection screen, and this is after you more than doubled your initial realm number.
So, what are you gonna do now? A full purge and re-launch? Free transfers? Or just wait and watch as 1/3 of your customers leave due to being unable to play? What is it gonna be?
Sorry but how on earth are we supposed to move a guild of 1033Members(discord) With 384 Ingame Members already(and rising as more members finally get in) to a different Server. It would have been nice to have had all the realms/servers up for name day. So that people could actually spread out more. Also I hope that some of the High pop realms get Free character/guild transfers like it used to be in the Olden day’s to Lower pop Realms. Just a idea. It’ll possibly save a lot of people troubles of 120+Est and 10-15K queue’s.
9300 in queue on Gehennas at 10.30 this morning. 2 hours later I’m at 4760. Are Blizzard going to do something soon or even comment anything? You’ve had this game for 15 years now and you still seem to have no idea when it comes to launches.
You migrate the guild the same way you choose a server…
You put an annoucement saying that due to queues you’re moving away from that server and everyone should change server…
If you don’t do that now with time it get’s even more complicated because people are more advanced on levling
Question is… how are these realms going to be in a month or two?
I’m considering one of the lower pop realms or Razorgore… Problem is it is very hard to predict the falloff the next few weeks… If 70% of the player base stops playing/ plays very intermittently you’re going to serious regret rolling on a realm with less queue then Mograine has right now… And in my opinion that 70% isn’t that hard to reach. It’s a complete hype now, and everyone want’s to play at once… it will settle down… Question is when and by how much.
I’d rather spend a couple of days/weeks in queue, then end up on a ghost realm after a couple of months
The question is… players want to play now… without queue… not in a month or two…
They already increased servers cap
They should increase even more…Otherwise they risk alot of drawback…
blizzard you sure you don’t wanna kill wow classic before it grows bigger than retail wow?
15.000 que and 5 hours que on Firemaw. How could you do this to us…Opening 1 server and then 1 more. Jesus
Honestly no because Blizzard waited to release new realms until Gehennas was full claiming they did it so that it wouldn’t be a dead server and now we are getting punished for it so nah man, this is on Blizz and you are stoped
Took the day off work, logged in at 10am, joined queue of 10k…finally started playing at 12pm…got DC’d @12:15pm…now in a queue of 10677…what a fantastic day off Im having.
Update to my post above: add 2k to each of the realms except Stonespine and Noggenfogger.
It seems I won’t be able to play at all tonight… Estimated wait time on Firemaw is 7 hours… and it’s only going to get worse.
I know right, telling us if we want to play, just go to a low pop server is so ignorant of blozzard, just shows how out of touch they can be with players.
Actually if you join Firemaw now the estimated time is 8 hours and I can tell you from experience that the estimated “1 hour” I waited yesterday was double that
The only realms that don’t have 10k queues right now are Razorgore, Flamelash, Stonespine, Noggenfogger, and Gandling. Of those 5, the first 2 maybe won’t die in 2 months. Gandling will die almost certainly, with its only saving grace being the alphabetical order.
We’ll see if you’ll feel good then.
Oh yes, I know. The estimated 75min wait I had yesterday lasted around 2 hours for me. But that’s just their algorithm being unable to take into consideration that the further you get into the queue the slower it becomes due to people not willing to drop.
