No. It’s the reason why my mind is boggled that you seem to have gotten to higher renown than me in shorter time.
Easily the case for any of us. I guess Fortnight and similar fans are the exception.
The hat I could do without. Coat is tempting though…

There is the Trading Post.
man i will grind it full whether it will be nerfed or not, this is the theme i get my kicks from so i cant help it.
they even have BfA music in this mode, not just Boralus aesthetics.
I literally cant hate this…

Play this game mode for hundreds of hours to get to renown 40 and for those wanting achievements, only those with maximum autism can get to #1 to get the achievement.
If it was pve i wouldnt even bother trying it since i cant just do it out in the world.
If you want to do this as pve. then go do some island expeditions. But yeah its still a dissappointment.Just a limited time event you dont even get to do on your own characters. It wuld have been better if it was a permanent new pvp mode. We havent gotten anything new for pvp for multiple expansions now
Ah I misunderstood. My brain is also dying doing this event.

I’m not sure yet. I’ve set a minimum goal of completing the first set, which is rank 6 iirc. Then… I’ll see. I don’t think it’s unrealistic renown gains or requirements will be changed, so that might influence my decision for sure.

Not everyone is the same. I will get overloaded in pvp situations as they’re just too hectic. I haven’t tried this yet, waiting to see what happens regarding changes as it is far too grindy and I guarantee I’d be getting next to no plunder a lot (plus I’m still trying to get bags for alts).
Even if they gave all participants 500 plunder/renown at the end of each game (obviously requiring the player to stay in spectate mode rather than leave for another game) it would still be 40+ hours for folks that aren’t very good at these things. Or they could matchmake so that players who get more plunder (ie better players at this stuff) get matched like other pvp matchmaking - that’s not going to happen though, but at least it would let those of us who are terrible at pvp have a chance.

Gave it 5 rounds, and it’s just…bad.
- Game/controls barely respond.
- Keyboard layout is an utter joke
- Nothing is intuitive
- Someone is a level above you: No chance at all.
- PvE mobs make no sense with their attack patterns
- Attack range/indicators are missing
- Storm wall is barely visible
- UI is a complete mess
- Spells are not obvious, by the time you read how they’re supposed to be used, you’re dead
- People with lag are impossible to hit
- Plunder needed / level is ridiculous: One renown level a day? Best lie told so far.

If they put the rewards in island expeditions, sure!
Will they?
No.
I made a thread about it and someone just went on about how there’s abilities that moves you.
As if that’s what I was talking about when I said people are warping all over the screen.

As if it’s not obvious when they use an ability vs stuttering across the screen cause their connection is having issues or the server can’t keep up…
Fanboys will use any excuse to defend this drivel.

To be entirely honest… and i know this may be a little controversial opinion wise.
But it doesn’t help that wow does a reaaaaally poor job at showing you where or even IF stuff even hits. Unless you use a charge up skill or certain point target aoe’s, you dont really have a clean outline and therefore no knowledge of what your range/radius etc actually is. That also applies to getting hit by abilities, not just in terms of plunderstorm, but in any content, from pvp, to mythics, to raids.
Markers being universal in ff14 does wonders for clarity of where and when something hits (once you get used to its delay).
But even moreso… your skills showing where they land, especially with ‘skillshots’ is something that’s been done way better before. The team behind wildstar for example had the right idea.
That’s more of a bigger design issue, but I reckon it does make doing certain types of content extremely harsh on people that may have visual impairment or similar conditions that would benefit greatly from more quality of life changes.

will your 24 other alts also be agreeing this time?
Another swing and a miss. It might be fun as a PvE thing not PvP with some adds and as always RNG for skills. Blizzard loves their RNG, don’t they? No matter what they do, you got to have a big spoon of that in it.
If you haven’t read guides your first I’d say 5 games wont be that fun since random level 8 guy will find you real quick while you are level 4 or 5 and just chilling and smack you with his max level skill combos while you try to grasp what does what.
“jUsT gIt GuT” - get out of here with this sh*t. If I wanted to play some toxic garbage game LoL and Dota 2 exists, or CSGO or Fortnite. This isn’t a fun WoW experience.
Unless you’re a real tryhard, the rep gain is incredibly slow… Even with the daily quest.
As someone who doesn’t pvp for couple of years now I’m 100% sure I’m not the target audience.

So I have looked all over the place, one thing not mentioned about this time limited event is when it actually finishes. have I missed it somewhere? How long is it on for?
My god that’s an absolutely terrible experience, what in the name of all that’s holy were they thinking
