The more I play it the more I find the level difference between players an unfun mechanic
I find it interesting as it rewards pve and actually punishes long drawn out combat between players, which is cool cause you never feel like pve isn’t worth it cause the lvls are a consistent dps increase in every game, but without htem you’d run into the problem of rarity of the items/spells being the deciding factor, and imo as someone who has played fortnite, realm royale, apex, spellbreak, who all didn’t have this mechanic, it feels much worse when there are no lvls, I feel like this is a really good choice
Meanwhile I got bad luck with the mob density, spells and gold chests so by the end I was fighting a level 10 as a level 5-6 myself
Yeah that can be rough, do you often play BR?
Cause I usually have a few locations I like to land so I get a decent start, although after only one day I only found one decent spot but others seem to have found it too, the 4 elementals are pretty good, but I don’t think I’ve landed there without someone else beeing there to fight over them.
I usually stay as far away as I can from BR, unless the honey trap is really good or I want to try something weird, like when I decided to at all costs win a round of Firestorm in BFV.
The fact that the leveling system makes someone snowball and they cannot really be ambushed anymore is making it less exciting for me.

One renown a day, if I play a whole day. That’s what I meant. And you know it’s true, 1 level in an hour is nonsense, cuz I’d fall asleep in first 5 minutes.
having tried this for about a hour not getting even 1 level up in reknown, my experience is bad, but i am really happy with blizz trying new things even though this is not my cup of tea since i detest pvp, and it feels super frustrating to be 1-2mins into the match being lvl 3-4 and suddenly a lvl 7 that got lucky shows up and kills you
Well I am @ renown 18 and I definitely played less than 18 hours
There’s one good side in this event. Finally forum is back on fire for a while

I like this, i really like this. I CBA about other Battle royale games but this is just fun!
Play this for having fun and to get the rewards and embrace the casual fun you can have in this event game-mode, finally a non competitive take on this kind of gamemode with the wow-feels!

It was fun for the first 5 minutes after that it was just a mindless droning mod .
