Holy Power for all specs!

Please Blizzard, return Holy Power to Protection and Holy in Shadowlands! After the removal of this resource the specs feel empty and uncomplete to play. I dont totally understand why they have to differenciate the resource, and make the specs feel like diffrent classes, when they are all the same class! It was actually more fun playing my Paladin in WoD for godsake!

Personally as a Hpala, I feel the healing is very simple and similar to the other healers. Holy power made the Hpala feel different, and rewarding to play, when played right. It was more fun to have these really good heals you build up, and can throw out when needed.

No, they should remove holy power from all specs.

protection paladin is dead to me since they originally put holy power onto it, and it still has all the scars.

At this point i say: whatever, it would be like beating a dead horse.

I absolutely do not, ever, want Holy Power to return to Holy.

It sort of makes sense for Ret as it isn’t too far away from combo points and therefore works, but for Holy and for Prot - hell no.

Would you care to clarify on which are the scars you still personally feel on the spec?

first of all, its casted heal potential is still a joke despite there being no reason behind this, you would be directly vulnerable when casting holy light paired with the fact that discipline priests are currently a mary sue healer, good at dmg healing and tanking and thus contradicts the reason prot paladins cannot heal properly.

Pair this with the patheticly low damage still on hammer of the righteous and shield of the righteous and you start to see the problem, prot paladins used to be about raw numbers until holy power kicked in and they are still sitting alongside the mechanics of the holy power despite not even having it.

These things were changed/reduced because of the holy power and were not reverted back towards their original workings after it was removed.

Removing Holy Power could be good. I jsut don’t want that boring FCFS again.

Not really, dude. It should be removed from Retribution too. They should leave the combo point playstyles to Rogues, Feral Druids and WW Monks only.

What do you mean by that?

Do you remember wotlk rotation without P4 T10 ? That’s not something I want back.

Holy power just killing the class… And make it boring and unrevarding to play. Prot is more fluid and fun to play since no holy power, same goes for holy.

Btw Blizz should give up this whole generator things cause all class feel the same and boring and slow… (soul shar, insanity, malestorm, holy power) generator hit nothing 6k crusader strike pls… Its realy good and revarding for some class like sh priest with chorus build ia kinda fun to play but for some class have the oposite effect for example paladins and shamans

It was good. Don’t be dramatic, I used to PvP in S8 set which didn’t have T10 4-pieces bonus.

Imho, a gameplay without proc feels too linear and boring.

I’d much rather have Holy Power removed entirely for all specs. Ever since its introduction my Paladin has never felt the same as a class. Ret with combo points feels freaking horrible, Holy was the worst iteration of it i ever played on my paladin with HP, and Prot never felt like it needed it or that it would even fit.

It’s a lazy design choice for a Class that works so much nicer without a stolen resource system which you can now find on most classes in one shape or another (monk, rogue, feral, DK festering wounds, Paladins, arcane mage, …).

On top of that, Ret with HP encourages you to play a DPS first and foremost and neglect your strong support tools (which the class is supposed to be about…), due to haste and HP generators interacting in a way that makes you spam the hell out of them with no downtime to do your duty as a paladin, without feeling like you have to sacrifice your dps for it.

The downtimes ret used to have without HP were there for exactly those moments where you were supposed to look at your support toolkit and make a decision whether one of those spells are needed right now, without having to sacrifice your dps for it. Also it just felt so much better not having dumbass combo points on a SLOW 2H PLATE wielding class (whereas combo points fit perfectly with super fast paced classes like rogue, feral, monk etc)…

Yeah. But at the moment, we don’t have any utility spells. And I do think healers are better supports.

There was Art of War.

In wrath, makes instant cast. For me, a proc is a strait out cd reset.

You said “Proc” and “Art of War” did that, you didn’t say “by your definition” in your first posts.

Rah, I’m not good at writting this times…

Well, I shouldn’t have talked about proc, but instead reseting cd. You’re right.
