Holy Priest has a few talents for extra dps with things like smite and holy fire as well as a talent for extra spell damage (and healing too) from spirit.
Could holy priest dps in dungeons/raids?
No, they cant because they are not efficient.
You can if the leader allows you, so you are at the mercy of your guild master or group master.

The only DPS you should be doing is wanding when you don’t need to heal.

I did try Searing light for grinding, it’s worthless. Wand is priest’s best friend.
