I dunno, I ain’t payed much attention to anything in the past few years there. Before that is now a lost memory.
They are the majority of characters you can recognise as being LGBT – it’s lazy to then assume that they are the majority overall.

Unfortunately, current year matters little when many countries are still very homophobic and spread such misinformation. I don’t think it’s improbable for someone to have very few interactions with LGBTQ+ people and/or have a fragmented/wrong idea.
Many of those people I believe (perhaps naively) can still think to themselves once they’re exposed to different kinds of people and see that they’re not literally the devil. IMO representation in media and games can do a whole lot to show that LGBTQ+ people aren’t what homophobic narratives try to push forwards.
Which is why I’m very happy about Shadowlands having diversity, Fairshaw becoming a confirmed thing ((might even want to buy the exploring EK book if it has tidbits of Fairshaw in it)) and so on. I’m also giving Danuser a pass just this once.
And I’m also glad I can now basically write every homophobic character I meet IC off as headcanon and thus non-existent.

Afaik the text says he disagrees with the sentiment- He doesn’t deny it. While it is semantics and probably unimportant in the grand scheme of things because as established there’s very few (if any) instances where such prejudice can be done tastefully. (I didn’t watch the video because I can’t stand the guy so if the wording is incorrect correct me if I am wrong).
It’d also make the words a bit more stronger if the guy saying these words wasn’t the guy who spent 1 hour in story panel last winter patting himself & his dojo friends on the back about how supposedly BFA story was very nuanced and great (while literally not answering a single negative feedback about the story inconsistencies). Don’t get me wrong, I think its great he confirmed what people had been saying in this thread already, but use that as a credit to say he’s in any way shape or form competent at his job is frankly just not the case.
Good announcement but the story they write is still in shambles.
