Homophobia in Roleplay = Bad, Period. Doesn’t matter what circumstance.
So role-play cannot ever cover contentious, deplorable topics and have villains that hold these beliefs? What about books, TV shows, movies, games?

We’re not talking about other games. We’re talking about WoW. And it is against Terms of Service to express homophobic stuff, says so quite clearly.
Why have such boring beliefs, when there is endless opportunity for several other terms of conflict ?
for example, the void, world domination… world destruction, insatiable greed… Insatiable lust for power etc.

No, thus why in most of my postings, I’ve spoken vague and in reference to all contentious topics on a whole.
Plenty other things against the ToS that get covered during Role-Play. It is also why in my post that I referenced that such RP is probably better suited to smaller or private Role-play. My point is that I don’t think covering certain topics is inherently bad.
Yes, there are plenty of other sources for conflict, nowhere have I stated that all conflict need always arise from villains with particular contentious views, just that I don’t see the necessity to exclude them as if they’re inherently bad.
As I stated, I look at RP as a means to explore worlds and beliefs that are not always my own.
But homophobia is.
